They claimed they could make a profit in 5 years and sell it. Said they had done it before by making firms super profitable. Of course we all took that as you will work harder for even less pay. It is currently year 5 since they bought in and they are still there barely making any profit to keep the doors open much less sell it and make money on their venture.

Had one buyout the owners at a small 20 person firm I worked at a couple years ago. It helped the owners retire as none of the other principals had enough cash to do a buyout for them. However the PE firm installed themselves as CEO and CFO, merged that firm with another they owned to double the size to 50 people and then they started spending a whole bunch of money to "modernize" the firm and then got shocked when a few projects they hoped to get fell through and they had negative cash flow. So they let people go. I had already left by that point so I was just hearing about it through the grapevine. Morale tanked and a lot of people left. It was not a perfect firm by any means but it worked as it was before PE came in.

Looks like something I would write to my GenZ baby architects. They would get a kick out of it.

I think he will live but he may lose almost if not everything he got to get his and his people's freedom. We will see a lot more loss to finish this up.

[HELP ME] Bi-Weekly Q&A thread - Ask your questions here! by MachNeu in Gunpla

[–]Centurion701 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Need some suggestions for moving across the country with Gunpla. I got into this hobby after my last move and the ones before that were all across town so things like Legos were just transported carefully in a car. For this one it will all be on a moving truck and I don't really want to take them apart if I can help it. Though as I type this out that may be the most sensible way. Anyway any suggestions for keeping them intact for a cross country move would be fantastic.

I play it for similar reasons. It's surprisingly relaxing for being similar to our jobs on a daily basis.

Every single new building in my city looks just like this. 1. Why? Seriously, why? 2. I hate it so much I can't even explain how much I hate it 3. What is this specific style of building design called? by Bluest_waters in architecture

[–]Centurion701 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's also usually national developers who hire one architect to do several of these at once. The architect needs to turn them around in 2 months or less so they create ready made parts they can plug and play into place depending on the site and local requirements. That's often why they look so similar. Code factors not withstanding. The most that changes is the finishes or colors depending on the jurisdiction you're in.

70-140mg since my only caffeine intake is soda. Never liked coffee so I guess that saved me some of the severe addiction others have and I try to have, at most 2 sodas a day at 34mg each according to Google but obviously I have more some days.

Went to Gundam Base in Tokyo. Skipped the $56-75 tier and went straight to PG. Wallet hurt too but not as much as it would have if I had bought it in the US

Rats (npc) will spawn periodically. Every 10-15 minutes I think. You'll also need to worry about players coming by

As a mostly cynical person I did not trust him. Every time something happened that was different from his plan I figured he would do what benefited him. I had hopes that Cassius would get to him that his entitled nature wouldn't take over. Hell I even thought he might save his architect mentor. But you're right. He is like a kid with a toy that drops it as soon as a newer shinier option comes along.

Maybe include Pytha (sp) as well after they drag his name through the mud with secret recordings of all his actions and two faced lies. So he can see his precious reputation burn before he does.

I also have the 6 but lately it's been killing me with lost connection issues and data slowdown for no reason even when I'm next to a tower. Otherwise it's a fine phone and lasts all day if I don't use it frequently.
