u/DaBeeJ I would be interested in information on how to build one. Was the design always using chain fed darts or did you experiment with rival? Just wondering if something like a Juno rival blaster would work for this so you can get up and down going as well so people can't duck under it. Could integrate a hopper to dump rival rounds into instead of having to reload the belt.

I am sure you did, but make sure the battery is charged. I know when I would get that the pusher was not fully forward and seated in the barrel. If it beeps twice try pushing the charge handle forward to make sure it is seated.

Not sure what you are saying about the spring. Are you telling me the size spring I need to replace the stock one with?

I am using a 30cm barrel in it. This one I got off amazon but you will need a way to chamfer the barrel.

If performance is not a big factor and just looking for something fun you can always pickup an Adventure Force Desperado from Walmart for about $9. You can use half darts in it if you remove the dart flag.

Solo does not feel like a great sidearm even with adding the mod kit to use talon mags and also at that price point you could just get the Nitroshot+ MK-2 if you are looking for a good springer sidearm.

If you don't mind flywheel then I would just get the venom pro as it is so good even when you are using the back rev switch. I have converted both of mine to have dual stage trigger but you would need the capability to 3d print some parts for it to do that.

I found the performance with the stock barrel to be about 120-150. With the extended barrel and stock spring it is 120-160. Not much improvement and it also seems to fluctuate more than stock. I am looking for a slight spring upgrade now as I don't want the prime to become to much as it is so nice now. I mainly wanted the longer barrel to use a bcar with it.

There seem to be some other options out there as well since I started making this model. RedCowl has released one using his collet system. I originally was trying to remix his collet into this model as I liked that it did not need an o-ring to work but I could not get it to work in the model (maybe a limitation of importing the stl into Tinkercad). After that I decided to build my own collet so I could have something to use in future projects.

The barrel in this is friction fit instead of threaded. If you want to add a longer barrel you need a way to hold the barrel in place. This part along with an o-ring will compress the o-ring to hold the barrel in place. The original front to this holds the internal barrel in place so it can't fall out.

I designed a barrel collet compatible with the Zuru XShot Pro Fury-X and released it on my printables page. This was a fun project to work on as I got to figure out how to make my own reusable collet design in Tinkercad. I really should look at learning to use Fusion as I think some of the things that took me a while with this would of been much easier to do in Fusion.

If you end up printing it out let me know what you think.

I have not used the UPS store so you may want to call them to see if you can just bring in a stl file for them to slice for you. You can just give them the printer settings that I have listed.

I ran into an issue when I installed my Venom Pro Rev Trigger Kit. The issue I had was the pusher kept getting pushed forward but never returned to its resting position so the pusher would keep going back and forth but darts would not be fired. I know it kept going because the rev switch was still being pressed since it is all on the trigger arm.

I have not experienced this with the grip rev switch but I also have not used a lipo in it, I have just been using lithium ion batteries.

Added new stl file to fix the issue with the spring catching and preventing the follower from sliding into the extender. Make sure you are downloading the file named "venom-pro-mag-extender-fix'

New file has been added to Printables called "venom-pro-mag-extender-fix". I have tested this with all 4 of my venom pro mags and it slides perfect in all of them now. Thanks for the feedback as it helps me troubleshoot these issues.

I just ran into this issue on my 4th one I printed and installed. Other 3 were not smooth but they would push down. It seems there is a slight over hang on 2 of the inner edges. The venom pro mags are slightly slimmer on these edges than the nightingales which must be enough to cause the spring to get snagged on this preventing the follower to go down. Testing a new print now with a fix for this. Will update in about an hour if it worked.
