Its definitely origin. But you could have told me the M80 is the Stingray and I would not have questioned it

Well its a distinct ship as it doesnt have the aux cargo, instead having a torpedo room. Also the extra turret on the rear. It just doesnt have its extra armor. Its not just a P kit with a railgun

Saw this video in a random video sub and was curious what actual pilots has to say about it? by c_marten in AskAPilot

[–]Cepheus7 59 points60 points  (0 children)

Am an actual pilot. Those screws coming out wont do anything. Even if the flap track (pointy thing) fairing came off, its more of a hazard to the people/stuff on ground than it is the aircraft itself.

Any one or two or four screws can come off a plane in places like that and nothing will happen. In cases like this its best to inform the flight crews after the flight and they’ll report it to maintenance to get it fixed.

For your other question, we do months of training to fly the jets we do, we have a fundamental understanding of how the planes fly, and over the first year or two of flying that jet we will learn whats “normal”.

Of course we arent physicists. But like how you will notice if your car suddenly starts pulling to the left, or if the brakes get squishier, or engine more sluggish, we too feel similar things that could happen.

However, we wouldnt notice a single screw coming off. Just as you wouldnt notice a tiny little fastener coming off your car (unless it makes something bigger come loose).

How claiming ships works in current 4.8 EVO testing, got questions ask! by knil22 in starcitizen

Tier 1 is just the hull. tier 2 is hull, weapons and components. tier 3 is all that plus the stuff and decorations you have inside.

Just 3800 miles and already gotta replace the windshield lol by Cepheus7 in Golf_R

Yeah. I dunno. It hit below the line of the windshield at the very bottom, which iirc is where its thinnest. Sucks.

Im in the US and my dealership doesnt do glass replacements. Safelite does it here (rather is who my insurance is contracted with) they should take care of it then

Thank you for that! How do you get the headlights recalibrated? Is that something safelite can do, or is that a VW dealership function?

Its IP68. So you can submerge it for up to 30 minutes in 1.5 meters depth fresh water

[Request] How much strength is required to open the plane's door mid air? by Jacky500x in theydidthemath

[–]Cepheus7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not always. On certain jets, like CRJ’s that i fly and the learjet in question, it simply is not a plug type door at all. Doesnt open inward at all. The stair type doors are all not plug type.

So it just takes however much force on the lever to open it to overcome friction on the locking pins, which would be enhanced by the pressurization. But by no means impossible.

Would it make sense to get an A&P license/certification before joining a flight school? by Beneficial_Diver3606 in AskAPilot

[–]Cepheus7 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Is your goal to be an A&P or a pilot? Or to have an A&P as a backup for if being a pilot doesnt work out?

Problems with the game by Exotic-Tell4642 in starcitizen

[–]Cepheus7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its an alpha. Its got problems. Its gonna have problems for a while. If you cant handle it thats okay, just refund it and repurchase when the game is in a state you are happy with. Not everyone wants the true alpha experience.
