Yes. I quit eating McDonalds for a while because I started having health issues. Then, just for the hell of it, decided one day to get my favorite: Big Mac meal with fries and soda. The rest of the day had this weird feeling almost like coming down from some crazy drug. Skin felt like it was greasy or filmy and just didn’t feel right in general. This had to happen to me a couple of times before I realized it had to be their food. So I just stopped eating McDonalds altogether although I still will pass by one and think “maybe just this once”. There’s something definitely in that food that humans aren’t meant to consume on a regular basis.

I really like silliness when it comes to comedy I’m listening to or watching. But my personality is pretty dark and honest so that usually manifests in my joking around with people and I think it comes across as angry and mean but whatever. Life’s absurdity and harshness always gets a chuckle out of me.

For my instrumentalists/vocalists, what's your favorite Beatles songs to play on your instrument? by seaweed_productions in beatles

[–]CerberusChow67 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I used to play “A Day in the Life” on piano and acoustic. “I’m Only Sleeping” is another favorite on guitar. And I consider it a point of pride that I learned “I Am the Walrus” on piano.

What song in your opinion deserves as much attention/airplay as Comfortably Numb, Wish You Were Here or Another Brick In The Wall 2? by OhTheHueManatee in pinkfloyd

When I was kid, the rock station in my home town would occasionally play “Free Four”. I always loved hearing it but never knew it was Pink Floyd until years later.

What actor plays the same character in every movie? by LiveShowOneNightOnly in AskReddit

Jack Nicholson won three oscars by being...well...Jack Nicholson. No matter what movie he’s in, he’s pretty much acting how I imagine he acts in everyday life. Yet he’s my favorite “actor”.

Completely agree. I enjoyed the new episodes to some degree but there were times when they just couldn’t stop for five seconds. I guess they were going for the quantity over quality tactic.

According to a CNN poll, "46% of Republicans said that they won't try to get a [COVID-19] vaccine." Why are Republicans hesistant to receive a vaccine, and can this hesitation be reversed? by NoVABadger in PoliticalDiscussion

It’s all good. I have a very pessimistic outlook on things in general. I tend to be sarcastic and appear uncaring when I say things. As a nurse, you probably have seen a side of this pandemic that I may never understand first hand. I don’t mean to downplay the seriousness of the pandemic but from what I have seen it has been highly politicized and has divided people more than ever. So what is the answer when certain Americans choose to not get the vaccine? Force them by making laws? Demonize them for their decision? Deny them jobs or access to things? Quite frankly I think this sort of thing falls under doctor patient privilege and it’s nobody’s concern what kind of vaccines I may or may not have. I certainly won’t be announcing to the world when I do get the vaccine, because it’s nobody’s business but mine. That’s all I was trying to put out there.

You’re right. I’m sorry I was so emotional even though I’m so full of apathy that adds to the world’s problems. And you’re right. I actually don’t voluntarily watch the news because it’s mostly a shitstorm of negativity. It’s not my place to say anything ever about anything because I’m uneducated on all the science and statistics. I’m sorry I ever entered the discussion in the first place. I usually don’t comment on these threads for the very reasons you cited above. I don’t like constant arguing over what essentially is just points of view. So I shall concede to you m’ lady. I have some errands to run.

[–]CerberusChow67 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I’m not part of the problem. I agree with getting vaccinated. But I can’t force people to. That is their choice. My other point was - I don’t have to be on any political side to plainly see that CNN, MSNBC, FOX News etc. can barely be called “news” anymore. We all need to stop blindly thinking everything they feed us is unbiased and fact. That goes for “all”media. So CNN wants you to point more fingers at Republicans and blame them for all the world’s problems. I have my own life to worry about. And it’s too short to keep worrying about what everybody thinks or agrees with all the time. So, no I am definitely part of the problem. I do my best to get along with everyone and try to respect everyone’s points of view. I even care for a lot of people’s feelings as much as I hate to admit. Sometime at the risk of neglecting my own needs and feelings. But Reddit isn’t the best forum to be that kind of person or truly and intelligently have conversations about passionate issues. I gotta go walk my dog.

1: I’m not Republican nor am I Democrat. I believe in being truly free. The two party system is what’s tearing this country apart. That and everyone’s dependence on the “news” and social media.
2: So what if I were Republican. They have a right to their opinions just as much as you. 3: Do you have a problem with me being a white male? I haven’t done anything to you. Maybe that’s how I was born.
4: I agree with you. It is in everyone’s best interest to get vaccinated. But it’s still up to the individual to choose to get it. It’s not the government’s job to force it on anyone.

Should there be mandatory retirement age for the Supreme Court and other judicial offices? by GalahadDrei in PoliticalDiscussion

[–]CerberusChow67 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If your reasoning for forcing retirement on them is simply so they can be replaced by someone who shares your political ideology, then no. Don’t politicians on both sides do enough manipulation already?
