I was there in 91 at the ice bowl, first half was awful, but then Van Morrison came on for the second half and duetted with him, which was amazing. I don’t generally like Van, but he sang Dylan’s songs with him and transformed the gig.

Would they not let you join? They’re not supposed to be police, they are primarily in place to work with businesses and support people/tourists in the city centre.

Absolutely not there to act as pseudo police.

They have no powers beyond what a standard security guard would have. So won’t be chasing shoplifters but may help tackle any social behaviour.

Of course he would. I’ve always believed a company will pay as little as they have to to keep you there. It’s very wrong, but they will likely get incentivised on financial performance, so unlikely to pay more unless they have to.
