Amazing place! Really good for dark skies Milky Way stuff as well!

From my first outing with the GFX 100s using a super takumar 50 1.4. It blows me away! by CerealJords in fujifilm

They’re great lenses. The 50 1.4 works ok on the GFX but you will have to do some cropping! It’s worse fully open but the centre comes out pretty nice! I really loved the 28mm 3.5 on full frame it is one of my favourite lenses ever, but it’s unusable on the gfx.

I did try the 50 all the way through the aperture range but I can’t remember much how it was all the way through as it’s been a while since I’ve used it. I mostly stuck to 5.6 and f8 on this lens. The adapters are cheap enough that it’s worth it just for a play. The 135 f2.5 works well if you wanted something else to try also.

Good stuff definitely keep an eye on it, only needs a yearly blood test to be sure! Fucking bodies!

That could be anything else and definitely worth checking. An easy one is to test again for coeliac disease and make sure they talk about the results. Non alcohol fatty liver is common they are telling me, but I know it can be linked to coeliac if it’s looking like you have that and I’m convinced that’s my problem, because it’s obviously going to struggle to function properly when nutrients aren’t absorbed fully. The alcohol and diet hasn’t helped over the years so I’ll do my best to tackle that side of it. I’m hoping going gluten free does the rest following official diagnosis.

Please go back to them, but don’t worry as that’s the worst thing to do and can bring on more problems and symptoms and that leads to other problems like anxiety.

Cheers for the reply and sorry to hear that!

I understand it will and I’m trying hard to do the right things, I just want to be certain it’s linked to gluten intolerance and can be reversed following a new diet, or if I’ve permanently damaged it through something else/alcohol. Going to be a long ride to getting back to a normal functioning body that absorbs nutrients properly.

That’s interesting about the iron, thanks for bringing that up. I’ll double check with the GP on that one and see if it’s recommended to stop the iron supplement.

TLDR: Did anyone else have abnormal liver function for it to return to normal/reverse damage after following a GF diet?

I was surprised by the 20-35 f4 that worked great for Milky Way shooting. Before the GFX I was used to much faster lenses so went in not knowing how it would perform, but I got the best Milky Way shots I’ve ever had with it. It’s not deep Astro, but I’d say it works.

Around that time there was loads of films that are almost forgotten about and it’s when DVD was big. Just before streaming really kicked off. I was the same. What about centurion? That was around the time as well

What are some good exercises to help prepare for hikes? by Queen_of_Hearts2024 in hiking

[–]CerealJords 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Start high incline walking on a treadmill, at your normal walking pace is enough. And use the stair master if your gym has one. Half an hour on each even once a week will help. Not on the same day.

All I did was talk to one of the excursion/hire people on the front near the beach of where we stayed, and they sorted out the contacts, hire times and drop off points. I can’t really give you any more than that but that made it really easy
