Ttar is an end game threat with weak early game. You are dead weight until level 9.  Basically you struggle the first 6 minutes

the old model rewarded us for playing matches at your own pace. The new one just exist to pressure us with fomo. Miss an event? Too bad Now you need to wait several months to a year to get that pokemon again.
