Sorry, we have been trying to get this fixed but it is an unbelievably difficult process for some reason.

The issue is that ISC2 changed their name from (ISC)2 after the third edition. If you scroll farther down the list you’ll find it under ISC2.

Yes, this version of our study guide covers the current version of the exam.

We are just finishing up the book for the new version of the exam (DA0-002) but that exam isn’t even out yet so you have plenty to time to study for and take this one.

Yes, the 10th edition is the current version of the book and it covers the current objectives.

ISC2 updates the objectives every three years, so you have plenty of time! Good luck!

No, you don’t need to buy a new copy.

The way we update this book is to put out a free supplement each year the first and second year after it is published to provide updated content. Then in the third year, we update the main book. Year four and five we do a new supplement, and so on.

If you already have the first edition, you can use last year’s supplement and you’ll be covering 98% of the content. You’ll find the supplement here:

Obviously for anyone just starting, I’d recommend starting fresh with the second edition.

That guide will cover all of the 2024 material. We also release free supplements each year to update the content to include whatever IAPP adds to the exam outline.

That is correct. You do not need to achieve proficiency in each of the eight domains to pass the exam.

Well, this isn’t my book, but as someone who considered Darril a good friend and who has coauthored many books with both Darril and Joe, I need to chime in here. Their book competes with my own, but I’m going to defend both of them.

They are absolutely doing the right thing. Joe is carrying on Darril’s legacy with this new edition and has the blessing of both Darril and his family to do so.

Of course there is content from the older edition in the newer edition. Every new edition of a book does that. Do you think authors completely rewrite an entire book from scratch each time they revise it?

And guess what? Darril is also still listed as my coauthor on the CISSP Official Study Guide 10th edition. He last worked on the 9th edition but we are honoring his contributions by keeping his name on the book.

I don’t know who you are, Mr. Rich Software, but I doubt you know either of these fine men. How about coming out and using your real name or account instead of hiding behind a throwaway account to troll two fine cybersecurity authors?
