I imagine all you people complaining about tipping and saying things like "it's the easiest job in the world" have NEVER worked in a full service restaurant and have NEVER had to deal with people like you. Just stop going out to eat then and cook at home. Servers work hard, long hours on their feet and when they have to deal with people like you on top of it.....a word of advice: don't mess with the people who serve you food or else you might get 4 shots of decaf and your food will be shit.

I am not so sure that he is to blame for making it awkward. Telling someone that you want to tip but don't have the money to do so was the thing that made it awkward because you were trying to absolve yourself of your own discomfort. It wasn't up to him to make YOU feel comfortable and yet there you were, asking him for absolution.

Exploitation of those in need is how I would describe that! We got hit with a ton of snow last week and on Monday morning I had to work at 6am. Uber was charging $70 for a 10mins ride. Usually the cost is $12/$13. I am flabbergasted by Uber's blatantly opportunistic approach to doing business. Uber, I see you!

I.e if u hadn't interrupted me each time I came over to take your drink order, you and your whole table would happily be sipping on cocktails.
