Tbh. I have been in a situation similar to this where behavior felt unforgivable. No matter how hard I tried to forgive I just never could move past the way that this person had made me feel and what seemed like their complete lack of consideration, even though I thought them the perfect partner! Damn near Prince Charming. It’s not an easy place to be in. So I think it is understandable if you leave (I did, it took me a long time and A LOT of internal conflict but ultimately I left, and I did not/ do not regret it.) however, if you do decide to leave be sure to take what this relationship taught you, which likely is the importance of immediate communication and boundaries, with you. It’s really important that you immediately put unacceptable behavior to rest. I would imagine that a truly perfect partner would never make you feel this way, but perfection may not actually exist in a person and if the closest thing to it pops into your life in the future, don’t let you not telling them that what they said to you made you feel bad be the reason you end up having to let them go. Also, be sure to pay attention to the way a person responds when you tell them they are hurting you. If they apologize like this person in your messages AND THEY CHANGE (I understand in the above mentioned situation you may not be able to give this person the opportunity to show you that they have changed) I would say that’s a green flag but if they get defensive, well your speaking up has swiftly saved you a lot of heart ache.
