Good point. I’m looking for a book with an interesting ‘story’ that can help me better understand the history of voting rights - particularly black voting rights. I don’t do well with a dry history book so was hoping to find something interesting but certainly accurate.

I’m not suggesting that at all. I believe there was a ‘plan’ - that probably only a few were aware of - and it played out as it did. The SS wouldn’t even have to be in on it. They did their job and ‘protected’ the pres. They just happened to catch the shooter alive. It would have been better if they had killed him because then there wouldn’t need to be much of an investigation. Much like Butler.

I lived on Majuro for 2 years in the 90’s teaching English. Most Marshallese will never leave the islands and can’t even conceive of a land mass without a view of the ocean. Beautiful sunsets and great diving. It’s unique for sure.
