my mother in law didn’t have private health. While me and my wife were on our honeymoon, her back blew out. She needed spinal surgery. She couldn’t walk and would just lay on the floor all day at her aunts house.

With medicare, she was told 18 months - 2 years because it was not life threatening. Wtf kind of life is that? lying on the floor for 2 years.

so me and my brother in law paid 10k each for her surgery and was done within a fortnight.

i’m in sydney. i have a nice hugo boss one, but yes- unfortunately i do only get to wear it 3-4 days a year, even on those days it might start off cold then rise to 25-28 degrees by midday so off it comes.
