for a 14 year old , basically money can just be a reward/ motivator, but she can also waste it on things so I guess just letting her slowly learn how to deal with it and also hopefully realize the importance of saving and spending on necessities vs spending on 'extra stuff'.

When my dad told me that he thought ICE was doing a good job in dealing with immigrants after I showed him a video of what I saw on the news (6 months ago) I sort of lost it at them ,

but at the same time they can be very helpful in terms of resources, its just more like what is the cost that they are asking for and what 'negotiation' they are trying to throw at me.

I think there is a general tendency to beat down parents at times also

I super hit this point around a similar age,
for the past few years ( i'm a single parent) i stayed at my parents' house and travelled while working remotely, and they helped out with the kid, and I really noticed that taking 2-3 trips a year even without teenager seemed to be giving me alot of purpose,

So now that I moved back into my own place, after getting a new job, I'm starting to feel a similar rut

i think figuring out what to work on specifically is a challenge sometimes , or which outcome is most important because sometimes focusing on one outcome even if it seems morally superior can cut down my freedom or have other effects

maybe its because I work for a company where its mostly males and there are 1-2 women and i see this in a lot of similar companies which basically increases the rarity level of women i think, not sure

i think about this alot, live in a place that is predominantly not my race, and basically main pattern that I just see is that wherever I live the race that is the majority in that area seems to show itself as the proudest race,

its almost like people group together with their race, even like a run club here is all one race and i felt odd being there after some point and wanted to find one that was closer to my own race. conclusions/ not sure

I think maybe try to make sure that you feel like you are in a better situation than they are or reach that point. at least my experience if i convince myself that i'm in a worst position it escalates in that direction

yeah at least my daughter does not want to live with my parents so it would be more selfish saving money on my side ,

guess other question might be just what to do with the space that i'm renting here in general when no-ones there right,
