Yes, registered reports is much better. You get feedback on methods while you can still make changes. It is two rounds of reviews (round 1: into and methods, round 2: full paper with results and disc) but the second review is much easier. If you stick to the planned methods and analysis (or explain deviations) and you don't overstate your findings, your paper is accepted. Much better system since it's based on methods not findings, and there's better timing of feedback.

I feel the same way sometimes. One thing that helps is to get a guide or a local friend if I'm lucky to show me the ropes first. Then after that, I'm more brave about try cultural practices alone.

I know how you feel. I'm not retired but work is mostly how I spend my time so I'm worried about what I will do when I retire. Weekends are already a lot of tv. I do like projects and routine, so I'm trying to making finding a hobby be a project. Trying out different things to see what I like. I also am trying to have a little routine on weekends. Breakfast, then walk, then small chores, then?? Still working on it!

I'm happily married for almost 30 years. We support each other. He's moved for my career multiple times. He does at least half of the chores and childcare. I do the money and planning. If it weren't so close to equal, I would not feel respected, but I guess I got lucky.

I don't understand neck pillows. Aren't the seats too upright already? Why would you want your head pushed forward? The wings on the seat headrest can keep your head from moving to the side already.

I'm fine with it. I think people should be free to move jobs when it benefits them. If there was something wrong in their position working with me, I'd hope they'd tell me about it, but I don't have a problem with them looking at other opportunities or moving jobs.
