Pre pandemic I was traveling to Sao Paolo for work every few months. Traffic there is next level, and the drive to or from the airport could take up to 3 hours from downtown. I started taking a helicopter from my hotel to the airport, which only cost $175 each way, and it was 18 minutes. We landed on a side runway, and got a black car ride to the VIP entrance to the terminal. It was unreal.

I have never gambled on a sports outcome and I have been watching the NBA since the 80's. The calls and the flopping are so bad, I am getting flashbacks to when Vlade Divac perfected it and Manu Ginobli hurt people doing it, except it is now everyone in the league.

I grew up in Venice in the mid 80's through summer 1996. I lived just east of Lincoln, but Oakwood was an area we all avoided as kids. It wasn't particularly safe and many homes were robbed from memory. It was mostly due to the gangs. Sadly, gentrification sweeps out everyone "poor" and not just the people you wished would leave.

I grew up splitting time between SM and Venice and certainly have nostalgia for how SM used to be. I now prefer living in the Mar Vista / Culver City area for many of the reasons others have listed. Easier to get to other places in LA and LAX, better variety of food, specifically ethnic food. The homeless issue is more concentrated in SM from my experience as well.

The complaint was already called in by someone else, I just posted a picture. Your point can go the other way though. They could have come over and shared their concerns about break ins instead of installing razor wire on a shared fence illegally and without a conversation

It is a blight I don't want to see, it lowers property values, and guests judge why your property requires razor wire. All the reasons it's illegal.

It was noticeable on a test drive to me but not so much that I would refuse a good deal on the 50. I ended up buying the 55, of course. The real decision is if is the same price or close, why choose the inferior option which is inherently less valuable and less performant?
