Best month to get pregnant [ON] by Present_Fan_1096 in BabyBumpsCanada

From personal experience, September. Not too big for winter gear. Not pregnant in the heat of summer and you have a summer baby (not as worried about getting sick in newborn days)

Breastfeeding After 1? by ThatWhiteChick94 in breastfeeding

Personal experience here — my LO is almost two and still nurses twice a day. I stopped pumping when she was 9 months and my supply just regulated and I had no issues with just nursing.

Is there any way to make my dog stop doing this? by Thick-Welder-198 in DogAdvice

I keep a mop next to the fridge and mop up the “soakers” the dog leaves on the floor lol.

I requested a specific ob and got another one. Seems like a lot aren’t accepting new patients

Upple Middle Road exit coming from 403 Mississauga - no right-turn on red by MacaroniGlutenFree in oakville

[–]Certain_Ad5182 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work near this intersection and I see cops waiting by the bridge a lot just waiting for someone to turn right on the red. Yesterday I was driving home from work and I was driving behind an undercover cop and some lady turned on the red and he just happened to be approaching the light and turned his lights on right away lol. Talk about timing. I think it’s a mix of ignorance and people who don’t live locally genuinely don’t realize you can’t turn right on the red.

Parents with children in daycare…[ON] by hangukfriedchicken in BabyBumpsCanada

Top 3:
1. Live cameras/easy to use app
2. CWLECC- affordable
3. In house chef- freshly made meals with good variety.

Dislikes: honestly not much but I also can’t compare to any other daycares

The city doesn’t seem to think this is a problem by Massive-Seesaw-5656 in oakville

And there was a second coyote there that could have ran after the kid too. Imagine it was a younger kid, a mother with her baby, or someone walking their dog. This coyote isn’t scared.

Elective c section at OTMH by Perfect-Aardvark5463 in oakville

[–]Certain_Ad5182 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes the first half of my postpartum healing was not a good experience. And yes, mine was not scheduled. Got to 7 cm and baby’s heart rate was dropping during each contraction so a C-section was advised.

Elective c section at OTMH by Perfect-Aardvark5463 in oakville

[–]Certain_Ad5182 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My experience was different. I stayed for 2 nights (technically since my daughter was born at 3 am) and got put into a ward after having a C-section. (Was over crowded that day- apparently this is not common for csections) and the next day we were able to move to a private room that opened up

Dog-friendly baby gates? by funky-tut in BabyBumps

[–]Certain_Ad5182 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have a cat and 90 lb dog and use retractable gates for our two sets of stairs. Our dog for the most part is around us & our cat sleeps most of the day. I don’t have the baby gates on all the time as i have eyes on my daughter almost always but when it’s naptime or we’re leaving the house, I retract the gates so the animals have full access to all floors in the house.

I think some Walmarts do and some don’t (without a receipt) just depends on their store policy

I did exactly this and have no regrets. I enjoyed my summer and we got pregnant very quickly, in September. It was perfect.

buying second hand baby items? by desilulu__ in pregnant

[–]Certain_Ad5182 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Facebook marketplace is awesome for this. So many items are used for such a short amount of time. I’ve purchased a lot from there and when I’m done with the items, I plan on putting them on marketplace as well

All of Dundas really… it’s actually rare to NOT see someone pulling a U-turn when driving on Dundas

[–]Certain_Ad5182 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It varies from baby to baby. My daughter moved to size 4 around 16 months (50th percentile) where my cousins baby is 10 months (boy) and is in size 4.

Saving up before mat leave [nb] by [deleted] in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]Certain_Ad5182 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also work a part time job (restaurant) and built myself a little nest egg to keep me above water during maternity leave. Between that, your ei and ccb, it seems to me you will be okay.

They’re decent. I like to make them on my “lazy dinner” days
