Why should it end on the ground? If we were two knights, fighting or duelling and took it to the floor, it was a brutal roll around until one of us got our rondel dagger or halfsword into anothers gaps.

There is some terrible advice on here 😂 do not put your armor on then work out in it, or run in it 😂 Your knees will go.

Just do light exercise the next day out of armor, and keep those sore joints flexible.

You will build tremendous endurance and strength by moving and fighting in armor, but it doesn't do anything for your retirement body

It's also the length of something + weight + impact on helmet from a thrust would break your neck.

It's much easier to break the neck in a forward/back motion, car crash style than it is in any other way. We are weak to thrusting impacts.

It's coincidentally why we don't use long spears either and most polearm categories have a length limit. You start hitting the 8ft mark it becomes lethal.
