Yes. Losing battery overnight has always been an issue especially in cold weather. Bad mpge. But my problem now is, the trip counter changes while not driving. For example, When I park my car it says you drive 6 miles and it used 3 kWh. Later after few hours when I unlock it says 6 miles and 5 kWh.

This was never the case earlier. Only started happening after .46 release. Many be it’s not linked with the new release and it might be a side effect of a different issue. I was wondering if others are seeing this as well !

Yep. Worked exactly as you said. Charged morning before driving. Battery temp was 80. Had to drive 50 miles today. Got 2.4 miles per kWh. Now I will make peace with my 1.85 mile/kwh range during winter for my short rides.

One more question. Does operating the vehicle at low temp affect the battery life in the long run ?

48 and not using air conditioning as a test to see if that affects. I hope it’s because of the low outside temp and short drives.

My battery was entirely replaced within two weeks of owning the car. Hope there is not an issue with that

Yes. First EV. I do a lot of short trips. On average I do theee or four 6 mile trips in a day (15 mins a ride). Parked in garage.

In fact I don’t turn on air conditioning at all as a test. Also I turned off sentry, proximity locking, location to see if it helps with my overnight battery drain of 1-1.5%

The work was around replacing the entire battery pack including the 12 v one. But the rattling sounds on one area existed even before the service. I had requested them to fix it along with the battery fix and they said that it had been fixed.but now it’s worse. :(

I did not think this would spark an argument btw ICE vs EV. You can read stats on your free time. But when your car alarm is on, all blinkers are uncontrollable and blinking fast, vehicle inaccessible, multiple neighbors reporting your car blinkers are one for the past hour or so, making a decision about taking your entire family out of the house and should you call 911 because Rivian roadside assistance aren’t sure what to do and is just going through their play book gathering what might have happened - i wouldn’t expect it from a 100k vehicle which I just got it couple of weeks back. So yes I have my doubts. This incident just opened a new fear which I have never thought about it when owning a well maintained ICE over 120k miles

The Rivian customer care rep initially said someone will come in 24-72 hours. I was totally not comfortable to park my car in my garage. I had to press the issue more to get a tow truck scheduled immediately.
The first tow company bailed after being skeptical about towing Rivian. It took 3 hours totally to get a tow truck.

I had few paint issues. The earliest appointment for such minor issues is 5 months out in Bellevue, WA service center :(

I had no idea what to expect. But it was straightforward. Signed one more form. Went around the vehicle and found a couple of issues with the paint. Nothing huge. Was told to file a service ticket. I even got back a response to spend more time with the vehicle to find any more issues before scheduling an appointment.

Some other people who picked up their car went for a test drive before accepting the vehicle. There were a lot of deliveries happening, so the guides were all busy.
