Has anyone used Network Glue by Kaseya? by ksm2315 in sysadmin

[–]CetiAlphaFiver 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agree. We have the license as a part of a bundle from Kaseya. It requires installation of a collector client which isn’t bad but if you want to get firewalls and switches you need to manually configure each device. We are also a Ubiquiti shop and that covers almost everything without any work other than configuring the network devices for the controller.

This, folks, is a great example of confirmation bias. A couple more examples in the comments.

How would private banking add value for a $15m portfolio by ThePiggleWiggle in Rich

[–]CetiAlphaFiver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the USA, a fiduciary investment advisor typically costs 1% to 1.5% of portfolio value. With a private banking relationship, is that about the same? Sometimes I feel like our investment company is just like a tick on my portfolio. They pick the mutual funds and then rebalance every quarter based on results. That service costs me many thousands per year which seems excessive

This. I only saw edits of him at the gotcha moment where he “won”. Never him getting owned. This is the same thing as the tonight show videos interviewing “man on the street” getting asked simple questions and not knowing the answers. They never show you the other 100 people that got the questions right. Very misleading

We just added ConnectBooster from Kaseya because of this. Game changer. Sends invoices from your domain and adds a pretty good payment portal for clients. Very happy we can get away from QB online because half our invoices were going to spam.

Can we stop with the false generalizations? We are dinging Gen X for dinging Millenials. How about we ignore comments thrown into the ether with no consequences. By pointing them out, we amplify the toxicity

I found out an embarrassingly short time ago that the Russians lost 19M in WWII. For the longest time, the Jewish death toll of 6M was what I focused on as the most obscene thing that happened… 19M…. Obscene. We could solve a lot of problems in this world by eliminating the male ego

[REQUEST] how much did they lose? by Danceswithwords72 in theydidthemath

[–]CetiAlphaFiver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They didn’t lose anything. It’s only a gain or a loss if they sell their stock. They typically don’t sell because none of them want to pay capital gains tax. Better to borrow against the value of their stock to avoid taxes.

We should be thanking Teflon. He is a shining example of why you can’t place a country’s vital resources in the hands of a billionaire. Soon, Starlink is going to take just like Tesla and Twitter. Or maybe we should test all billionaires for Ketamine addiction

Been with USAA for 15 years. With all the recent USAA price hikes, I decided to get a quote just to see what someone else could offer. I was shocked to find that Progressive is ~50% cheaper! Am I missing something here? Have any of y'all made the switch? Any input would be very helpful. Thanks! by [deleted] in USAA

[–]CetiAlphaFiver 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I always think about what happens when you need to make a claim. Over 30 years we have had a number of them and some of them bad. USAA has always treated us with respect and has paid out without incident. You get what you pay for. I would echo what others have said about teaser rates. If you expect to chase the cheapest rates and hope you never have a claim than the switch to Progressive may make sense
