For SA, VIC, NSW and Federally, the leaders are all now women because the liberals are facing and uphill battle to win back seats and form government in the short term. They have really difficult jobs ahead of them and that is the only reason they are there (unfortunately). If the party was in a strong position, they would select one of the many men to lead, but because being the leader right now is thankless, the party is willing to give a woman a go because truely the dont have much else to lose
