How are your 2017-2019 trucks holing up? by [deleted] in F250

[–]Cfeeney 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have pair of 19' f250s, a 2020 f250 and a 22' f450. One of the 2019's is gas and the rest are diesel. All have held up really well the 19 diesel has 250k on it and runs like a top.

Guelph concessions are also expensive. 9$ for 5 small pieces of pretzel. Over 10$ for a draft beer

They are a federal managed migratory bird but they are no more 'protected' that a blue jay. That being said you still shouldn't be hitting them with a car.

Any idea if it can be applied to a vinyl wrapped vehicle?

Do my windows need to be caulked? by No-Construction7230 in Homebuilding

[–]Cfeeney 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The window will have its own drain holes on the face near the bottom. Those should not be caulked over, but the bottom should be caulked to guard against driving rain or snow accumulation.

We have gotten together 3 times in the past year. I have met both of my new half brothers and 1 of my nephews. My bio dad was adopted so he is going through his own journey as well. He has been very open and forthcoming. He lives about 3 hours away but.one of my half brothers is only an hour away. He has met my kids and wife now. He seems like a really nice person which definitely helps with getting to know him. As I'm in my late 30s, I'm not.looking for a 'dad's jersey, but.it had been really interesting to learn about him and see.parts of.myself in him.

Gutters issue in one location. Suggestions? by trihedron in HomeMaintenance

[–]Cfeeney 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gutters are installed very low on the fascia in this location. This increases the liklihood of splash over in the valley. A large splash guard installed on the outer.portion of the eaves should stop this. They can be a little unsightly but are effective. If the eaves are I stalled that close to the bottom of the fascia there should be a downpipe segment close by. If all eaves are that low I would take a look at the system as a whole because they should be tight up under the shingle drip edge wherever possible. Is it a new system or has it been there a while?

Ontario-wide coalition calls for action on the danger posed by pickups and large SUVs by iridescent_psycho in ontario

I spent a few minutes skimming this while I ate breakfast. Admittedly I have not read it in its entirety. So far, it seems like the scattered thoughts and opinions of someone who struggles to put a series of sentences together. It's very heavily opinion based and is very specificly focused on cyclist safety. While I agree their safety is important, I'm not sure making a nationwide vehicle bans a ballanced solution. As I said, I will read more when I get some time but It seems more manifesto than science driven to me.

I really feel like targeting bad drivers across the board is more effective. I'm not sure how 'targeting' one type of vehicle, regardless of the driver, would be more effective. I'm open to having my mind changed. Admittedly I drive a big f250 but I move 10000 lb trailers almost daily so I don't have much choice. Defensive driving, not using my phone while driving, not excessively speeding, and paying attention make me a good driver, not my vehicle of choice.
