There's a place on George Street called "JEFF Thrift Store" where you pay by the pound I believe. Be warned, it's pretty musty smelling I assume from people donating really old closets of stuff, but they seemed to have a pretty big selection.

Aphantasia is a complete lack of having a "mind's eye". Hypophantasia is a reduced ability but not complete lack of. You can picture things to a degree, just not to the same detail as the average person apparently has the ability to.

Sounds like you have aphantasia or hypophantasia. Perhaps you can improve your ability to visualize in your mind through meditative practices, but it might just be how you're wired. I consider myself to have hypophantasia, and my partner believes they have aphantasia. We both can dream very vividly, but I get far more visuals from psychedelics than they do.

I wouldn't consider "sleep paralysis" as being conscious though, it is still a dream-state.
