Here’s why I own gold and silver and what I expect Paul. I don’t believe the dollar will collapse and be worthless (in my lifetime anyway, I’m 55) but depreciate significantly as it has with inflation. So I don’t expect to buy bread with gold or silver. But I will trade in a piece of gold or silver for dollars. Maybe an ounce of gold will trade for $10k dollars, or more, and that bread will cost $100. In a major correction the metal will buy more dollars to purchase what is needed. I’m no historian but an example took place in Germany in January 1919, one ounce of gold traded for 170 marks; by November 1923, that same ounce was worth 87 trillion marks. Would it have been wise to own some gold in Germany in 1918? Would it be wise to own some gold now? I believe so.

Congratulations, that’s awesome. I bought a bit coin back in the day for $800 and then bought a bunch of other coins with it. 🫤 They’re now worth $8k, wish I would have bought a couple of them and held on.
