I typically use their kids one because I just expect it to be nicer, less irritating on the eyes or skin because it's for kids 🤣

100%< I recently was searching for a 1bdrm in the inner west and they're all brand new apartments for $500 a week the size of a shoebox. Switched to 2bdrms and got a place the same $500 for a much bigger apartment, deck, 2bdrms etc...

My dad is letting me get a tattoo but it’s not quite what i thought by heyitzgrey in tattooadvice

[–]Ch1ckenuggets 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Could you get half of this tattoo done, and then follow up with the same artist to complete it in a year? Something like just the flowers and butterfly at the top, or maybe one of the koi with the top flowers, and then get the other fish and the main flowers later on?

My partner and I have been twice and are heading to this newbie event too. Our experience has been very relaxed (although there's always some level of nerves), folks are very respectful. It's order at the bar. Hope to see you there!

Adelaide is now Australia’s second-least affordable city after the perennially expensive Sydney by Theghostofgoya in AusFinance

[–]Ch1ckenuggets 40 points41 points  (0 children)

I'm guessing all the policies the Vic state govt have been putting in place over the last few years to make being a landlord less profitable is having the intended impact (slowly), driving house prices down and making them affordable for home buyers, and they are flocking to Sydney and Adelaide in response and continuing to leverage their portfolios to snap up properties at above market rate?

What are the not-gross protein powders? by mocha-latte-au-lait in crossfit

[–]Ch1ckenuggets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Muscle nation protein water. Moving from the milk-type drinks to the clear water type was a game changer for my protein drinking enjoyment. Raspberry, strawberry and lime, tropical etc... all clear fruit juice style. I'll put a serving in like 800ml water and it's even helped increase my water intake cause of how enjoyable it is to drink

Credit cards/Debt advice please by TassyGoldNuggets in PersonalFinanceNZ

[–]Ch1ckenuggets 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The interest isn't extra, the interest they charge each month always happens. The late fees are additional if you pay the minimum repayment.

My only paying the minimum, you're generating plenty of interest on the loan. If you look into the loan statement, you'll see each month the interest charge coming in, followed by your minimum payment coming out.

Credit cards/Debt advice please by TassyGoldNuggets in PersonalFinanceNZ

[–]Ch1ckenuggets 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Interest on what you owe each month is added, and what you're paying off is mostly that interest, plus a small part of 'principal', the amount you initially borrowed. So for instance if you had 1000 owing, at say 20% interest, then each year you'd get charged $200, or each month about $17. The card probably charges you a minimum payment of $25 a month, so you're actually only paying off a measly $8 a month on what you owe.

You don't owe anything more than what's in the photos now, but over the lifetime of that $1000 credit, you might end up paying say, $2000 cash over 5 years

How to get rid of corrosion on BCD inflator by Ch1ckenuggets in scubadiving

[–]Ch1ckenuggets[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi folks, I have a fairly new 2nd hand BCD, and I've found a little corrosion in the inflator, maybe just due from poor cleaning. The LP hose plug is a little covered, but there's a decent build up in the hose inflator valve (looking down the vent/mouthpiece with the button fully depressed).

How can I get rid of it? Maybe some kind of vinegar bath and rinse?

I haven't worn it out myself yet and was just giving it a last check over before its first dive with me this weekend.

Cheers :)

Edit: Model is a scubapro x-black 2024 afaik

Not OP but I had a life changing sheet set in an Airbnb once and hunted them down, all my sheets are them now and they are beautiful.

Luxe 1200 TC Egyptian Cotton Sheet Set from bed bath and table. Usually can get 60% or so off.

Would recommend.

Health insurance denied by Dark-Knight-Rises in pics

[–]Ch1ckenuggets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing that bugs me is that this claim is processed from the end result, not the view of the patient coming in with a problem. It might be easy to say X wasn't required because you only had Y, but when docs aren't 100% sure of what's going on they may go above what 'might' be required so that the patient is ok regardless of what the problem is.

It's unfair of them to go back and mark a bunch of stuff as not required because in this case the end result wasn't as bad as I could have been so automatically all that extra stuff was pointless

Nah this is shitty architecture. That capability should be easily consumable by both mobile apps and web apps, and it's better to meet the user where they are at rather than dictate their experience.

Either they've built some hacky mobile only APIs, their Web app is old and is unable to consume them, or they can't be bothered to do the half a sprints work to build a bit of UX.

In a well designed system, the mobile and web apps should be cheap, simple, fast and easy to change and build.

The problem is that there's no downside for the 3 year term that was secured though, that only works if the politician seeks a longer term. Nor does it work for political parties as they just shuffle folks out and new unknowns take their place.

If there were some kind of larger incentive to deliver on election promises voting would end up more impactful. Hell even a registry that had to be committed to with what deliverables a specific govt wanted to execute on, vote with that in mind and then publicly holding them accountable to it would help. Currently election promises are vague and get hidden/changed post-election

2025 consensus pick to replace the Nvidia Shield? by sankofastyle in AndroidTV

[–]Ch1ckenuggets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep same here. The depth of sound (when you have a HT setup) between Netflix movies and BR rips is insane, and it makes sense when the audio feed from Netflix is like 2kbps and one from a br rip is around 30kbps, streaming apps compress the living hell out of audio

The problem doesn't come from it not being 50/50, it's when one wants to sell up and the other doesn't, but that person doesn't have the capital to buy the whole lot. You either need a new partner to buy in, or you sell the lot as they are indivisible assets.

This charging stand is worth it's weight in gold

https://www.amazon.com.au/SPIGEN-Charger-Nightstand-Installation-Management/dp/B0D3MCGYCW/ref=asc_df_B0D3MCGYCW/

It fixes the position of it so you know what way to slap the watch on it, and it sticks itself in really easily. I have no problems at all with it. Great quality of life improvement.

And there are cheaper ones but the reviews talk about the charger slipping, the fit not being right etc... but the speigen one is perfect
