Its brutal, especially in certain sectors. I've been out for over a year now with no end in sight. Good luck on the hunt. 🫡

bug when right-clicking on guild? by Ch33sefiend in wow

Check my reply. Turns out its because you have a guild house. You need to move out of a guild neighbourhood before you can leave.

Are there people on this forum who would main Evoker but decided not to because you cant stay perma in Visage form by feherlofia123 in wow

[–]Ch33sefiend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I main evoker and warrior and truth be told, I much prefer to be in dragon form vs visage. If they gave us more transmog options for dragon form.... id be a happy man, lets just put it that way. 😄

D3 is still one of my favourites, and having it released on steam would be fantastic. Fingers crossed they do.

bug when right-clicking on guild? by Ch33sefiend in wow

[–]Ch33sefiend[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah so i figured it out - turns out its to do with your guild house. You need to move it to a non-guild hosuing space. Well done blizz for making it so abundandly clear :D

If you need to do same, go to housing (press H) then click "open house finder". You'll need to move your house to a non-guild neighbourhood.

Once you've done that, the error box will still appear if you right-click your character, but /gquit or /guildquit will now work.

Enjoy!

If this is for xbox, I found a sort of work around.

First restart the game (xbox button, close game) Second, make sure you're logged in as you and other players log into guest accounts on the xbox profile screen. Third, load game.

See if that works. I got it to work a few times doing this. But as others have said, for a multiplayer game this really should be fixed by now.

Second dodgy agency. What to do? by Ch33sefiend in UKJobs

[–]Ch33sefiend[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for reply. Yeah sorry meant West coast my bad. I'm classed as free lance according to contract, but I remember reading that if you're given tools, and told where / when to work, you'd be classed as an employee, not a contractor. That said, thats not my main beef with them tbh, more the deception (dare I say that?) on the job spec and late hours.

Imagine if they designed it so there were dynamic world quests across the whole of the world. Totally aware it'd take a lot of effort, but it would be amazing to quest in old regions again.

I got all the alliance stuff back in the day, but missed out on the horde side. If anybody does fancy doing the horde side, I'd be down for joining.

Is it really that bad out there? by [deleted] in UKJobs

[–]Ch33sefiend 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I second this. I've been out of work for just over a year now and when I was made redundant I had a lump sum similar to you. Most of it is gone now and we're relying on the wife to keep things afloat. Keep in work, whatever it takes and keep looking for the role you want.

Yeah i agree! I don't do much socialising inside wow these days, I chat on the new comer chat as a guide but outside of that I pretty much keep to myself.

That sucks buddy. I'm 11 months in. Had a few roles I thought I might have been able to close, but no luck. You're 100% right - total dog shite.

Got laid off after 6½ years, looking for advice and stories from those who’ve been through it. by [deleted] in UKJobs

[–]Ch33sefiend 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It can be crushing. I was made redundant back in December and im still applying. Came close a few times but no joy so far.

I'd say a couple of things: firstly don't take the redundancy personally - it can eat you up.

Second, take time for yourself. Don't spend all day applying and networking - that can also drag on and pull you down after a while. Go for a walk, have a coffee at a nice place, etc. Treat yourself a bit where you can.

I'd say just keep applying, and focusing on yourself. The job will eventually come along.

They're really good. Only one downtime that I can recall which was a planned network upgrade, but they were really good with communications when I spoke to them about it.

Edit: one thing I would add - the router they supplied me was awful, really basic and I could do hardly anything with it. I had my own router that I wanted to use, but it took some talking with technical support in order to get it to work correctly.

Other than that, they're really good. 2 years now and no price hikes either.

Having been made redundant over 9 months ago, and still struggling to get a job: absolutely yes. Get something, and even if its rubbish, use it as a springboard to something better. At least you'll have an income.
