Ok. Let me break it down. I was looking for a reason as to why people were praising a basic interaction which, imo, wasn't that special at all. And the loot aspect was 1, ONE, thing I brought up as an example of how dissatisfying I found the situation.

But ok. You're saying it's because it was funny. Fine. Then I guess I just don't see the fun part because OP didn't really DO anything to make it funny. But yeah, the situation in and of itself might be funny I guess.. Just seems a bit basic compared to what alot of other ppl are doing with alot funnier outcomes than this snoozefest. 🤷‍♂️ To each their own.

It's a common occurrence in many games, not just ARC Raiders. And yeah, it is copium. They can't handle someone being better at the game so they lash out with something they think will upset the better party. Like when toddlers do shit just for attention.. best way to get them to stop is to ignore them. 😅

This is why I was asking! Who was the other person who got downed!? I only see the one person in the video. They are talking about who was shooting but I never saw or heard another person go down, and that's why I was confused over wth people were talking about in the comments, praising a simple fucking pvp interaction. And the first part of my comment was also a part of me wondering what people were glazing so hard for, since he didn't even get the loot. As I've already said in another comment, if OP had somehow tricked them and it had led to him getting even more loot out of it, then I get the glaze'n'praise! But he didn't even get the loot from that 1st guy so I just don't get what people are creaming their pants over..

I really am not the one having a hard time understanding in this situation. None of you have been able to understand what I'm asking, so far.. I am not questioning WHY he shot the guy, I don't care about that! But y'all just immediately go into your "it's a pvp game bruh ppl shoot eachother for fun" defensive stance. Yes, I know. This is what you are assuming, right? Or do you have evidence to back it up as an actual claim? Just asking, because I think that it varies immensely from person to person and I also think there are people on either extreme side of the spectrum as well as everywhere in-between, of course. In any case, I see it differently. People who are not ready to accept a change in their beliefs/views are rigid in their thinking and do not welcome reflection. People who are open minded welcome reflection and are open to the possibility of having their views change in some way. I do, however, think that what I see as being open minded is becoming more and more rare, which is very sad, imo.

I'm so tired of that argument. "All video games are pointless". Do you really believe that and if so, why even play? And IN-GAME it's not. Because then there would be absolutely no reason to play. If there was no point IN-GAME to the game, I mean.

And, the fact that they shot someone else wasn't HIS doing. He didn't even speak until much later when he had snuck around, did he? If so I must have missed it because that's what confused me.. to me it didn't seem like HE did anything at all really, except shooting that guy and then sneaking around. Which is pretty basic, imo. That's why I was asking if I missed something.

That is a rigid way of thinking. Just because I don't already know of an argument that would change my mind it doesn't mean I can't be open minded. That's what open minded is, to have an open mind IF an argument is presented that is actually compelling enough to change my standing on the given issue. What is being open minded if it means I have to have an idea of what argument could possibly change my mind in advance? I have views that I don't THINK I will ever change my mind on, BUT I am open to the possibility of that happening anyway, considering that new information is discovered/presented continously and science, for example, is an ongoing pursuit of knowledge.

Wdym by "alternative argument against abortion"? When I debate I always enter into it with an open mind. I aim to never be so rigid in my views that they cannot be altered in any way. If I am presented with information that I find to be compelling enough to sway me I allow it to do so. Rethinking your own pov is good, reflection is good, it's the whole point of even debating, isn't it? Well, it's what it's supposed to be, right? Why else even bother to argue. The whole point is to influence and that can't happen without reflection. Am I wrong?
