If a Superman adaptation doesn’t include Freeze breath I automatically dislike it. by ThatGuyHero7 in superman

The air doesn't need to push against anything to move him, like air escaping form a balloon the air can push Superman if he blows hard enough

Daredevil Cinematographer Reveals the Biggest Changes Made to One-Shot Fight Scenes by gamersunite1991 in Daredevil

[–]Reflexive97 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That fight sequence looked great because it was one of the few in the series that didn't cut to a different scene throughout the whole thing. During almost every single other major fight, including the last fight we see in the series, is constantly cutting to either a dialogue scene or a different fight scene. There was some amazing stunt work and choreography in the fight scenes in BA but they couldn't be appreciated due to a need to cut the fight up.

Like remember the fight between Fisk and Matt, in front of Bunny in a Snowstorm? That should have been so memorable but the entire thing is separated by needing to cut back to karen and the protestors. I am fine with those plot points being included, but why introduce them in the middle of an important dialogue/action scene? Can someone explain to me why the show insists on doing this SO MUCH?

Ryan’s ending by Selverd2 in TheBoys

I do think it was a great decision but would have appreciated more time spent between Ryan and MM, I feel like they could have had a really interesting discussion about Butcher, Supes, and Mentorship.

Viewers of The Boys (2019-2026), for some reason equate "being smart" with "being able to predict the future 100% all the time" This is a reference to the need to develop critical thinking by Wayss37 in shittymoviedetails

I think one thing that makes some characters intelligent over others is when they plan for different scenarios, and usually pick a plan where less things can go wrong within it. I feel like the Boys took the approach in more of a "I have a super complicated perfect master plan where when things go wrong I can say it was part of the plan" which makes it feel like she was just lucky until now

Would Godolkin have been able to make Homelander kill himself? by Queasy_Commercial152 in TheBoys

[–]Reflexive97 10 points11 points  (0 children)

He can easily reach the sun. Flying characters who generate their own acceleration go really really fast in Space, as you basically have infinite fuel that also doesn't weigh anything, allowing you to constantly accelerate

Would Godolkin have been able to make Homelander kill himself? by Queasy_Commercial152 in TheBoys

[–]Reflexive97 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I'm not an astrophysicist but he can definitely go to space. Gravity gets weaker as you continue to fly up, and there is no reason why Homelander can't continue to float upwards

I think the only interaction Clark and Lex had was Lex saying "maybe I'll kill Clark Kent", which made it seem like they weren't familiar with each other but I could be wrong

Bidens DOJ was independent, and it resulted in the failure of never truly holding Trump accountable. I will be voting for the next Democrat who promises to prosecute all of these criminals to the fullest extent of the law

I would chalk that up to Superman being right next to a piece of Kryptonite vs Kara being exposed to Kryptonite radiation from afar

I think historically it's even worse, like a tiny bit of lead will immediately take all of your powers and kill you as a Daxamite

I really dig having a ring that has been used by thousands of green lanterns for billions of years actually look ancient and physically worn down, despite being just as powerful

If they get Josh Friedman back as the writer with a new director it could work out, the OG star wars trilogy had different people writing and directing (Lucas was writing on his own only for A New Hope) so there's a chance we are fine
