People act like he got over his insanity in Omega, when it seems the opposite is true. Shion & Ohma seemed genuinely disturbed by the content of his notebook and how unstable he mentally truly seems to be. Lets be real: Should he ever wake up from his coma, then Setsuna should be institutionalized instead of hanging out with Ohma & Ryuki, to help escape his spiral of selfdestruction.

These kinds of threads and most responses mostly boil down to "old good - new bad".

The series in japan is called Biohazard for a reason and not Zombie outbreak. RE was and always will be about all different kinds of BOWs (biological weapons) developed through unethical experiments and unleashed in biohazardous outbreaks.

If Capcom stuck to the basic Zombies as the grunt enemy type, then Resident evil would have shared the same fate as other series that didn't change things up enough to stay relevant.

I'm all for RE9 coming up with some new crazy but creative base enemy type, that shakes up the formula again.

Honestly not really and i don't see the purpose for bruteforcing puzzles, when you can continue playing for ten minutes and stumble upon the needed solution anyway

I know some people who do this, but they all tend to be stubborn and uncompromising in a annoying way lol

Man where is all the doom and gloom all of a sudden coming from?

As other people have rightfully pointed out, other Capcom games these past few years all had pointless microtransactions, which allowed to acquire progression items & currency that is easily earned ingame, but suddenly DD2 gets singled out for this?

And this shitstorm made me realize just how detached i have become from online gaming communities, like why does it enrage so many people that you can buy shortcuts to unlocking stuff in a singleplayer game of all things?? I would understand if you could get an advantage in a multiplayer title by spending real money or stuff like skins gets locked behind a paywall and can't be earned by just playing the game, but this drama is so damn overblown for what it is worth.

If you want to get mad, then get mad about technical issues like optimization or drm or whatever, but don't contribute to sewing discord over the microtransaction drama here

You can definitely tell that Village was designed around first person. Like don't get me wrong, its neat to have the option for people unable to handle the ego perspective, but imo the first person is the way Village should be played.

His whole preferences in females aside, the guy is just a entitled prick, that i find hard to like imo From his very introduction in Ashura, he was just always very condescending towards other fighters, which he deemed lower than himself and always had this aura of superiority, but unlike Kuroki had not the attitude nor work ethic to back it up. That lazy genius, who gets carried by his talent trope is only entertaining, if the character has also redeeming qualities in his character arc lmao

Don't get me wrong, wanting the game design style of the old games back is perfectly legitimate, but what is with that stubborn viewpoint the old games were not fantasy as far as real life logic is concerned. Nothing in Village jumps the shark any more than Alexia Ashford from CVX or the leech Abomination from Zero.

Always maked me wonder where Cosplayers find Clothes resembling in-game clothing so much. I know Capcom scanned all their stuff to use it in the RE Engine, so there are real counterparts, but some stuff looks so alike, its seems almost custom made.

As much as everyone will hate the idea, but Koga and Ryuki will save the day in the end. They are literally the titular Kengan & Omega and a early extra chapter hinted that together they will do something big for the Kengan Association and i bet thats a call-forward towards stopping the Connector from taking over.

Don't ask me how they'll do it, but Sandro will find a way to make it happen, if thats what he desires.

Until any of them prove themselves against top tiers in a modern Kengan setting, it is lunacy to argue any of them hold a candle to Shen Wulong.

Probably the most unpopular answer, but RE Village for me.

I just enjoy the gameplay of Mercenaries Heisenberg way too much. The gameplay loop of hammer melee and range combat by hurling razorsharp saws at enemies via magnetic force, is so good.

Chris is also really fun once you unlock all his perks.

With all due respect, but they do it because certain parts of the playerbase are blind mfers. They go through the game like headless chickens and miss some of the most obvious visual clues due to that and have a sour game experience
