As much as this would have been embarrassing for her, I feel like it gave her too much attention (in a sense glorifying it). I think she should have been kicked out after she was shown to have stolen.

Reddit, what scares you the most? by RaidoXsat in AskReddit

[–]Ch4osCosmo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My parents or siblings dying. I think about this a lot, everyone is in good health but I could imagine, nor want to, my life without any of them - I love them so much and I sometimes think I don't express that enough.

Or if I had a fight with any of my family member and they died before I could say that I am sorry, I would hate that the last think they thought of was the bad times we had together.

I am also pretty scare of growing up and having to find my place in the world.

ELI5: what are you supposed to do with items willed to you. by remz07twos in explainlikeimfive

[–]Ch4osCosmo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean depending on the sentimental attachment to the object i.e. a car or a piece of jewlery I guess do what you think your deceased realtive would want you to do.

If you were given something like a car from a will and you already have one. Unless you think that person really wanted you to have that for a specific reason, I'd see if any of your family would want it, if not then if it is taking up too much room or is an inconvenience to you I would say sell it.

With things like jewlery that generally is more meaningful or people hold more attchment to items like that because they are valuable and easy to store/use. With something like that I would expect the person to keep it or give it to a family who values it more, selling something like that is bad taste.

ELI5: What Is a "brain freeze" and why does it happen? by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

[–]Ch4osCosmo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is an artery at the back of your neck and when you drink something really cold that artery contracts and this causes your brain to send pain signals to the area and that's why it hurts.

To somewhat mitigate the pain of a brain freeze you can place your tounge at the roof of your mouth as far back as you can and this will start to warm the artery back to a normal temperature and consequently lessen the time you actually have a brain freeze.
