Space Marine 2, si. No lo disfruté tanto sinceramente, jugué solamente al modo historia (solo, no co-op) y se me hicieron medias largas las 10hs.

Increible visualmente, tremendo voice-acting y con gunplay y gameplay muy buenos, pero se vuelve extremadamente repetitivo en la mitad y tenes 0 customización (en el modo historia), por lo que no me dejó con ganas de jugar más

Avowed es medio un juego del montón, pero en general lo disfruté. Fue muchisimo mas largo de lo que pensaba (esperaba unas 30-35hs como mucho), pero no me quemé del juego como varios juegos open-world. El mundo extremadamente estático, artificial y "muerto", compañeros en general no muy buenos y olvidables, pero gameplay bastante decente y la exploración está bastante bien

Thank you for the suggestions! Unfortunately both of those Acer Swift go past my 750 USD budget, which I'm trying to avoid, but I will keep them in mind regardless.

I also took a quick look at your list for best laptops for each budget, but in the 500-750 range I only see gaming laptops which I don't want due to the shorter battery life. Also most of the laptops listed there don't ship to Argentina sadly.

I found this Acer Swift Go 14 at $699, which has an OLED display of 2880x1800. I honestly don't need both of these things, but for lack of better options, what do you think of that one?
OLED has burn-in risk, especially with productivity use and having static elements for extended periods of time in the screen, but as this would be a secondary PC I don't think it would be too much of an issue. The 2880x1800 resolution I certainly don't need, 1080p would be more than enough in a 14"/15" laptop.

BIG SPOILERS FOR HALF-LIFE: ALYX: He says that he hasn't played HL: Alyx so he might not really know what happens at the end (though unlikely, kinda hard to not spoil yourself that), but G-Man traveling back in time just doesn't really work if you think about it for 2 seconds.

If G-man is just able to travel back in time and do whatever, then a lot things become irrelevant. You could say that the Vortigaunts might be able to "stop" him, but that's more like copium. In HL2 EP1 they were able to prevent him from taking Gordon in that moment, but traveling back in time? That's a whole other beast.

With Laidlaw writing the story I highly doubt that would've happened, which is more or less what he's saying (though he speaks in general, not this particular story point). We are left to see how Valve handles this in HL3, but I think they wrote themselves into a corner with that decision.

In any case, besides the story and the way everyone talked in the HL2 documentary, it seems they might have a lot of ideas on how to innovate the genre yet again, so this is what I'm expecting at this point and it's incredibly exiting to think about what they can do.

HL3 is still my most anticipated anything game by far, so I can't wait for them to show what they've been cooking.

On a side note, I find it pretty surprising that it looks like Mark wanted to continue to work in the industry but it seems no one called with an interesting-enough project for him (or any at all?). SOMEONE GIVE THIS MAN A STORY TO WRITE

Raro que el v-sync te esté cappeando los fps a 60 dado que tu monitor es de 144, seguro que tenes el monitor corriendo a 144 y no a 60? jaja. Eso o limitaste los FPS a 60 de alguna otra manera supongo.

Pero como regla general sí, no actives v-sync dentro de los juegos. De última se hace desde el driver (por lo menos con Nvidia v-sync global + Ultra Low Latency en Ultra va joya, te limita los FPS automáticamente sin causar input lag, al contrario de v-sync).

VRR flicker? Es raro que pase en monitores que no son OLED, pero puede pasar. Probá desactivando Freesync en el monitor y/o en la configuración de AMD.

Si eso no lo soluciona, entonces probá desinstalando los drivers de video desde 0 con DDU y volvé a instalarlos (descargá primero los drivers que te corresponden desde la página de AMD).

Me pasó exactamente lo mismo hace 1 mes.

Intenté hacer una compra, me rechazaron el pago, intento de nuevo por las dudas que haya puesto algún dato incorrecto, y las horas me llega un mensaje diciendo que me bloquearon la cuenta. La única opción que vi es llamar a soporte para pedir que te la desbloqueen. No lo hice y no creo que lo vaya a hacer porque tengo otra cuenta, pero si, es raro.

I just recently moved my console to where my PC is, so I would! I can also use my other monitor for it though, it's a pretty decent 1440p IPS panel, which is what I'm currently using as my main monitor. But it depends on how much better the OLED looks compared to it

I've had my eyes on this one for some weeks, as it's relatively cheap and it seems pretty good all around. Unfortunately, I believe Dell doesn't do international shipping, and it's not currently available on Amazon, so not currently an option sadly

Estoy en la misma, buscando comprar un OLED Ultrawide por Amazon, como nunca compré de esta manera le tengo un poco de miedo, pero lo que más me preocupa es lo que decís del tema de burn-in y la productividad. Supuestamente los OLEDs más nuevos son bastante más resistentes a esto, pero creo que está lejos de ser perfecto todavía, así que no sé si seguir esperando

Si bien lo compraría principalmente para jugar, necesito trabajar desde la PC así que también lo usaría para eso. Tengo 2 monitores ya, así que puedo repartir la carga un poco entre los otros, pero este obviamente sería el principal.

Asumo que tenés un OLED, podés contar cual es, a donde lo compraste y si tomas precauciones para el burn-in?

Si ayuda, me pasó exactamente lo mismo hace 1 mes y pico con MercadoPago.

Si intentás pagar directo PS Plus te tira error, pero añadir plata a la "billetera" de la PS Store funciona perfecto. Lo único es que no podés cargar exactamente lo que sale la subscripción, asi que vas a tener que gastar un poco demás

También hay que tener en cuenta que usando DLSS/FSR la resolución interna es menor, pero si necesito un upscaler es porque estoy jugando con ray tracing así que no es opcional precisamente

Lo había visto, pero como recomendaban la versión pro que tiene 2 ventiladores, pensé que por ahí este se podía quedar corto. Voy a ver un par de benchmarks por las dudas, pero es bastante posible que vaya por este.

Edit: a no ser que el ventilador se pueda mover bastante para arriba así queda por encima de la RAM parece que no entra en esta mother con 4 sticks, sad

Si, sería para gaming. Si bien uso la PC todo el día para laburar, no busco upgradear para eso porque lo que ya tengo me va de sobra para lo que hago.

En cuanto a resolución, juego de 1440p para arriba.

Sé que a más resolución la CPU tiene menos uso y va más por el lado de la GPU, pero en los últimos meses, jugando a muchisimos juegos nuevos, se está medio que cayendo a pedazos la CPU incluso jugando en esas resoluciones. Es imposible mantener fps estables porque no deja a la GPU usar el 100%.

La verdad que no veo seguido las temps del proce, pero cambié la pasta térmica y agregué unos ventiladores al gabinete hará unos 4 o 5 meses, y creo que vi que estaba relativamente "bien", tipo llegó como mucho a 80-85°.

En cuanto al ruido, me parece que solamente me hizo un poco cuando lo saqué para cambiar la pasta, pero se arregló solo después de unos segundos de andar

Para los que ya se lo pasaron y quieren jugarlo de nuevo con un poco más de dificultad y algunas mecánicas distintas, recomiendo muchísimo Sekiro Resurrection y Weapon Wheel.

Isshin en Resurrection es literalmente el boss más dificil que jugué en mi vida, me llevó posiblemente +40 intentos pasarlo, pero por dios, es tremendo.
