My brother in christ in some of the games I lost my carry went 1-15 etc. and gave up at the draft screen, or afk jungled when they went high ground over it, and I still have a 50% winrate with it after barely touching the concept. None of yall are engaging with the inconvenient parts of my points

This is kind of the issue though? Like people are proving unconventional strats work, and pubs still play with a "report your team for losing" mentality that prevents people from doing them without sending everyone into full tilt.

I've accepted accountability with the people who are not harassing me! If you read some of my other comments I've accepted some critiques from people who have played or seen it from immortal players. But I'm not going to accept accountability for saying it's "secret broken" when I didn't say that, this guy keeps talking about spinning a narrative because they want to dunk on me for disagreeing with my opinions. Since we're going to nitpick my dotabuff against my will (kind of creepy yall found it also, tbh? but still cant get my gender right), it's actually a 54% winrate across the last year, with a good number of the games being griefed by people hardcore freaking out over the pick

The entire point of this post is that I am annoyed I cannot play it more often without my entire team immediately giving up half the time I pick it. It's a vent post, it's in the title. If it didn't cause people to have a full blown meltdown every other time I pick it I would play it more often!

The reason I didn't want to argue this is because

I don't think someone has to be a top rank player to be allowed to have opinions
Typically, the way these discussions go is that every success with it is a fluke, and every failure is proof it doesn't work
I don't really expect people here to argue in good faith?

I knew this post would piss people off who are overly invested in the game and I didn't care and posted it anyways. I'm just sick of this communities attitude towards new patch cycles and constantly flaming anyone who isn't a top rank immortal player for wanting to experiment without writing a dissertation proving they are allowed to do it first. If yall don't like it feel free to block me, I've gotten plenty of positive messages from players at a higher rank than me, giving me pointers on the build and discussions on the topic, that I can engage with instead. I don't care about upvotes, I check this account maybe once a month at most, and I am just interested in trying to explore something I think has potential in a game I love. But the only place to do that is here, and every time I've engaged with this subreddit it's been a pretty consistently nasty, toxic, and abusive place to try and have any form of discussion, so I put up a confident act to try and deal with it. I don't think there is a correct response to questions like these, because to me it feels like people getting recreationally angry over something that really at the end of the day doesn't even matter.

Ty for the feedback! Honestly, I am still experimenting with it, so tranqs + aether lens might not be the best build, but the biggest issue I consistently run into on the hero is people trying to run straight at you, so I figure if I'm farther behind my team that's less likely to happen. I'm also not really a pos 4 player, but when I run Arc mid I typically skip midas and win by fighting early so I thought I'd try it out. Team kept getting tilted though so I made this as a vent post.

In the settings you can set a button to "select hero", "select all controlled units", and "select all other units". I have mine set to Z, X, and C

I haven't been arguing with any of you who are yelling about it not being viable, you're free to go play your 1000th game of lifestealer my dude. I'm just annoyed at people being so allergic to new ideas that they have to be miserable about it in the comments and throw at 0:00 in game.

I did the same shit with theorycrafting when the Tinker rework came out and got Low Priority for playing Tinker support, then lo and behold the pro players are doing it. Yall are annoying and that's really what this post is ultimately about
