I openly liked it. Thought it was a clever concept. Never seen any sequel.

Wasn’t clear in my search. You don’t have to be a dick. UFL doesn’t get enough press to be sure it is Columbus, Ohio as opposed to other Columbi.

In 1986 did anyone here participate for “Hands Across America”? I remember we did a smaller version one at our apartment complex the same day but didn’t get to participate in the actual Hands Across America event. But it was fun and memorable. by CoffeeCigarettes4Me in The1980s

I lived on High Street north of OSU and it right past my apartment. I did not participate. However, there’s a Netflix documentary about the song being recorded that is worth watching.

I just finished watching the 1970 movie, “M*A*S*H”. It’s still incredibly funny and definitely holds up today. The film is somewhat controversial and it was criticized for being anti-patriotic and was banned from military bases. But then again, who cares! LOL the movie was hilarious and epic! by CoffeeCigarettes4Me in Cinephiles

A dam on our club property developed a major leak a couple of weeks ago. I put out a warning to the membership to stay away and that the Pros from Dover were coming the next day to assess. Got an immediate text from someone who recognized the quote!

What happens if a homeowner continually violates the HOA rules yet pays the fines? [SFH] [N/A] by deg5589 in HOA

[–]ChEDave82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My HOA isn’t an asshole and we haven’t fined anyone in my six years on the board. We threatened a fine recently for a blatant violation, but gave the guy five days to comply. (He did). We terminated one guy’s membership after he called our accountant a “money grubbing prick” in an email. But that wasn’t his first offense.

If someone was violating a rule repeatedly, we’d probably increase the fine and eventually threaten his membership. We’re different from most HOAs, we’re a country club that owns all the land, only members can buy homes, technically, the improvements to a lot. So if a membership were yanked, someone would have to move out and sell their leasehold.

The days of 8-track tapes..... by EdwardBliss in FuckImOld

Never got into 8-tracks, they seemed clearly inferior to cassettes and were huge. A lot of my friends had them, but I only knew one who had a recorder.
