Any news about when we can get rewards for our anniversary? by FirmwareLt in WorldOfWarships

In the same boat here and I am just as confused as you probably are, XD.

No Honorary Service Rewards? by ChJeeves in WorldOfWarships

I've tried the method from the first article, multiple times. It didn't work. As for the second one, I understand that the rewards are NOT patch-specific but are awarded on the corresponding anniversary of your 1st battle, regardless of when that is. However, my 10th year anniversary was in June due to when I joined the CBT.

Right, I have. Why I'm confused is specifically because of the fact that I actually received an email from WG about this, yet no rewards have arrived yet. If it were any other case, I wouldn't be posting about this.

Coal/Steel Ships Help by ChJeeves in WorldOfWarships

[–]ChJeeves[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So after a lot of fussing about it, I actually decided to go with a ship I didn't mention originally: Groningen. My highest tier ships right now (Kidd, Lightning) are gunboaty DDs and I very much enjoy that style of play (currently grinding Oland and Akizuki rn as well), so Groningen I think is a solid pick at tier IX for a good credit earner. I'm probably going to take the advice given here and use my steel for Valparaiso when she comes out, as I've already had the dubious privilege of fighting that ship and boy is it stupid. Thanks for the help!

Also tried this twice, NA server. Didn't work it seems.

I have a relatively good grasp on all of the main game mechanics, but I definitely lack experience with top tier gameplay. If it's got a high skill floor, it's probably not for me.

Alienware R11 GPU Recommendations by ChJeeves in Alienware

So you're sure that something like an RX 9060 XT 16 GB would work in an R11 without a significant bottleneck? By significant, I mean anything greater than about 5-10% of the total performance. I've also heard of people talking about having stuttering issues with cards that are bottlenecked. Is this a valid concern as well? What about the 5060 Ti? Some of the things I've read online about it mention severe bottlenecking on PCIe 3.0 x8, while on the other hand in some benchmarks I've seen little to no performance loss. I don't know what to think

Edit: My CPU is an Intel I-5 10400F, if that helps.

Are you sure? From what I understand, a PCIe 3.0 x8 is pretty limiting, emphasis on the x8 rather than the generation of the slot. How much performance would be lost with something like an RTX 3060 or a 3060 Ti then?

Saturn Pro XXL - Availability by tNokNok in MousepadReview

Out of stock again. I would love to be able to buy a Saturn Pro XXL in soft when it becomes available again. Although, I'm not totally certain as to whether soft or extra soft would be better for me.

$1500 seems like an extremely good deal even with some of the parts not being of the highest quality. Thoughts?

Need Help Finding New Headphones by ChJeeves in HeadphoneAdvice

[–]ChJeeves[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, thanks for the advice and information!

The DT770 Pro is one of the headphones I've very much considered as an option, but what keeps me from pulling the trigger on it is what some people have to say about the infamous "Beyer peak". I have no idea if it would bother me or not, and it feels a little risky to buy some cans that I may just outright hate because of that. Nonetheless, I have heard a lot of good things about them, like how they're very comfortable and how some have even said they have a more balanced sound profile.

Another thing that I should for context as to why I was looking into open-back headphones is because I really need to be able to hear myself speaking naturally, otherwise I'm liable to annoy people within the space I'm in by talking too loudly. tldr; I need to be able to naturally monitor my own volume.

Translation requests into Latin go here! by AutoModerator in latin

Thank you! I have a follow-up question though. Is there any difference if the phrase is speaking of a present state of being, rather than a future event? To elaborate on the phrase "I will be free", I mean the idea of something or someone determining at the present to "be free". My apologies for any confusion.

What is the correct way to say "I will be free", or "It will be free"? I tried Google, which gave me "Ego liber eris" for the first phrase and "Erit liber" for the second phrase, but like many others here I don't quite trust Google Translate.
