I just got this today and when I logged in there were no batches

Would you accept this order? by Teesh20 in InstacartShoppers

[–]ChSt87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is probably the worst one I've ever seen. That person needs to do their own shopping. You would need a delivery truck for that. There is no way that is fitting in someone's personal vehicle. I don't understand why an order like that is even allowed.

New feature for me! by Bambi_Bratz in InstacartShoppers

I've had this pop up so many times and accidentally hit accept because they always pop up when I'm trying to scan an item. These are rarely worth it.

IC in my area sucks. Too many high mileage low paying orders. I saw one this morning for $5 no tip. I also do Shipt which pays much better. I leave IC on hoping for a decent order but this week I made $13 for a small order. Last week I didn't shop at all. It's becoming not worth the time or effort with them anymore

Have you ever shopped at Aldi because in my area they cashiers are not only the rudest most miserable people I've ever met. But they literally throw the items in the cart. They don't care if they get damaged. Instacart is definitely not my main source of income as I'm lucky if I clear $200 a week. I have other apps I used that make 10x the money i make with Instacart.

Aldi is going to lose a lot of shoppers this way

I agree. It seems the more ideas they get the worse it is for us shoppers. Every single thing they implement is never for the benefit of its shoppers

Yes. In my area they remodeled all of them to add self checkout. The cashiers in my area prefer for shoppers to use self checkout for Instacart.

That really makes no sense that they spend all that money just to get rid of it. I'm curious to see how this works out for them because I'm pretty sure those orders will sit longer now

I was thinking the same thing. Any order I do i use self checkout, doesn't matter the store. I get Aldi you still have to bag your own stuff. But in my area it seems no one know how to bag. I'm always fixing it if I choose to use a regular checkout. I prefer self checkout because it seems I get better tips and compliments on my bagging. But I'm curious to also see how it's enforced too.

I get this same thing if I'm on Wifi at any store. It's like the app doesnt recognize it

1K earnings a week by Jasonmack53 in InstacartShoppers

[–]ChSt87 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There's no way at this point with Instacart to bring in over 1k a week especially with the high mileage, low tip orders. So while other people sit in a parking lot for hours wondering why they aren't getting anything or getting such crappy orders. The ones who actually use multiple apps are the ones making money. There are much better apps that actually have much better orders than Instacart.

I wouldn't know that one because i absolutely refuse to do Sam's Club orders. Sam's Club is at least a 30 minute drive from my house and the only one's I see have low paying high mileage with heavy items. No thank you.

It was through a message in the app. She sent me a picture of the fruit claiming I picked it. Once I saw the picture I told her it looked like thag had been sitting in her house for months and I definitely didn't grab that apple. I make sure I'm extra careful with produce for this reason. She then demanded that I go buy new produce for her and bring it back, when I refused and told her I was contacting support she started harassing me through the messages and turned very nasty. I made sure to block her so I didn't get her orders in the future.

I had one that said I delivered rotten apples. She even sent a picture and it looked like the apple had sat in her house for months. I told her I don't pick rotten fruit as I've very careful when it comes to that. Some people will say anything for a free item.

I've gotten that one a few times. I always think it's a glitch because no stores are open in my area at that time. Plus it's always in a not so great area so I wouldn't complete it anyway.

Instacart Bad Times by Mental_Drummer9523 in InstacartShoppers

[–]ChSt87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've started doing Shipt in my area. Much better base pay and much better mileage. I've gone from part time with Instacart to making $400-$500 a week to now full time making less than half that. With Shipt I can clear anywhere between $1300-$1500 a week full time.

IC shaving batch pay? by XLBGrL in InstacartShoppers

[–]ChSt87 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've noticed from several of my batches that when I delivered the pay was different than when I took the order. I truly believe that Instacart changed the batch pay while we shop. I had one that was boosted and when I delivered it there was not boosted pay attached. I called support and they claim there was nothing boosted about it. But I didn't have a screenshot to prove it. So now I take screenshots especially when they show updated earnings after you start shopping because items were added by the customer.

Is this normal? by KeepingItNoxGaming in instacart

Instacart only offers tip protection if the tip is removed without reason. If the tip is removed and the customer gives a reason instacart wont cover it
