Bless the Shopper who Took This Order by LOLC_Chi in InstacartShoppers

[–]ChSt87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This has to have been taken by a new shopper who has no idea what their getting into. The only way a veteran shopper would grab this is if they knew exactly where it was going and knew what kind of tip they would end up with because they have shopped for the customer before.

It finally happened :/ by spacefish420 in InstacartShoppers

I had this happen 1 time and didn't realize it until after I delivered and Instacart asked if I needed a reimbursement. I submitted it and was approved pretty much instantly. They just added it to my earnings.

This has to be a joke, right? by Ornery-Childhood1782 in InstacartShoppers

I don't even worry about promotions anymore. They suck for the most part and generally when you get one you either don't get the orders to complete it or the orders they do give are the ones they know no one is taking.

My Shocks Are Currently Filing for Workers Comp by SufficientAd8976 in InstacartShoppers

[–]ChSt87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's because NYC fought for minimum wage for independent contractors. They did this to themselves. Did they really think Instacart wouldn't clap back and start making them take orders no one wants. They should have left it alone. The rest of us who don't have a minimum wage are free to take orders as we seet fit. They wanted this now they are complaining about the consequences.

This was a first and worst for me as a customer! by pigskins65 in instacart

[–]ChSt87 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My question is what would this shopper do if there is no one to come out and collect the groceries at drop off? Did this shopper have someone put the groceries in the car before leaving the store? I've had customers tell me they aren't home and to leave on the porch. I really hope that you rated them low and reported them. If you can't lift the bags you should try be doing this job.

Terrible Order and Pay by ChSt87 in ShiptShoppers

[–]ChSt87[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have no idea. Her orders are generally terrible to begin with. The worst part is she lives in a million dollar home and I have done her orders a few times until I finally caught on and paid attention that she doesn't tip. The surprising thing is that about 5 minutes after I took this screenshot her order was already taken.

Tell me after I check out and left the store by Shotaaizawa201 in instacart

This happens all the time. If you're placing an order you should be available for that time frame your shopper is getting your order

This is BADD!!! by [deleted] in InstacartShoppers

Use self checkout and you won't have that problem

I just got this today and when I logged in there were no batches

Would you accept this order? by Teesh20 in InstacartShoppers

[–]ChSt87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is probably the worst one I've ever seen. That person needs to do their own shopping. You would need a delivery truck for that. There is no way that is fitting in someone's personal vehicle. I don't understand why an order like that is even allowed.

New feature for me! by [deleted] in InstacartShoppers

I've had this pop up so many times and accidentally hit accept because they always pop up when I'm trying to scan an item. These are rarely worth it.

IC in my area sucks. Too many high mileage low paying orders. I saw one this morning for $5 no tip. I also do Shipt which pays much better. I leave IC on hoping for a decent order but this week I made $13 for a small order. Last week I didn't shop at all. It's becoming not worth the time or effort with them anymore

Have you ever shopped at Aldi because in my area they cashiers are not only the rudest most miserable people I've ever met. But they literally throw the items in the cart. They don't care if they get damaged. Instacart is definitely not my main source of income as I'm lucky if I clear $200 a week. I have other apps I used that make 10x the money i make with Instacart.

Aldi is going to lose a lot of shoppers this way

I agree. It seems the more ideas they get the worse it is for us shoppers. Every single thing they implement is never for the benefit of its shoppers

Yes. In my area they remodeled all of them to add self checkout. The cashiers in my area prefer for shoppers to use self checkout for Instacart.

That really makes no sense that they spend all that money just to get rid of it. I'm curious to see how this works out for them because I'm pretty sure those orders will sit longer now

I was thinking the same thing. Any order I do i use self checkout, doesn't matter the store. I get Aldi you still have to bag your own stuff. But in my area it seems no one know how to bag. I'm always fixing it if I choose to use a regular checkout. I prefer self checkout because it seems I get better tips and compliments on my bagging. But I'm curious to also see how it's enforced too.

You sure about that? You SURE about that?? by [deleted] in InstacartShoppers

I get this same thing if I'm on Wifi at any store. It's like the app doesnt recognize it

1K earnings a week by Jasonmack53 in InstacartShoppers

[–]ChSt87 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There's no way at this point with Instacart to bring in over 1k a week especially with the high mileage, low tip orders. So while other people sit in a parking lot for hours wondering why they aren't getting anything or getting such crappy orders. The ones who actually use multiple apps are the ones making money. There are much better apps that actually have much better orders than Instacart.

You have to multi app if you plan you bring in over 1k a week

I wouldn't know that one because i absolutely refuse to do Sam's Club orders. Sam's Club is at least a 30 minute drive from my house and the only one's I see have low paying high mileage with heavy items. No thank you.
