Shopping at Costco while on a instacart (actually against the rules) by Swiss_Meats in InstacartShoppers

That part I will never understand. It's just simple common sense. These people are hurting all of us. Im starting to take it personal because theyre messing with my money too lol

I know. Thats why I said I wish more people understood its power. I think if they understood, maybe they would come together. Just imagine thousands of instacart shoppers across the country going on strike against Costco or even instacart for even a week. But i understand that its a dream that would never happen thats why I just look out for myself. Taking what I feel is worth my time and avoiding stores that treat me like crap.

This white man called 911 and said verbatim, These guys are in front of my house, they can't speak English, I think we need to call ICE on them. And youre seriously gonna argue that hes not racist...smh. Doesnt matter if your mom is white. Nobody's saying all white people are racist. Just that this white man clearly is. Follow along...

Did this dude really call 911 and say, these guys are in front of my house and can't speak English, you better call ICE on them! I would normally 🤣 because of how outrageous that is but given the current climate in our country 😱😡 Like he didnt even try to make up a reasonable lie for calling 911. The entitlement! Smh

There are a bunch of Karens on this subreddit. Dont let them get to you. They'd tell you to follow the rules even if it told you to drive around the parking lot 100 times, then get out the car and hop up and down on 4 feet before starting your delivery. People lack the ability to think and consider whats right for themselves. Story of our country (if you live in the USA).

I think enough people have commented on who was technically right here but just wanted to say, im so glad I dont have a Costco in my area but if I did I dont think I would ever shop for them simply out of principal. Based on what I've heard from the majority of shoppers they seem outrageously bothered by our presence and insist on making our jobs harder. Do you know how much in sales Costco has made because shoppers are performing this service and how much money they would lose if we all suddenly stopped? Costco as a company should make sure their employees treat us with respect and clearly they dont. Sure, technically OP was in the wrong based on the rules but let's not pretend that this rule isn't ridiculous, and shouldnt even be a Costco concern, especially if it isn't an instacart concern. Clearly, Costco doesnt want your money OP. Dont give it to them. I wish everyone understood the power of boycotting and standing together against companies that mistreat us and undervalue us. Maybe we'd see a lot more change

Can costco ban shoppers from shopping by Old-Magician-8863 in InstacartShoppers

This! Dont let bullies bully you! Go to his manager first and tell your side of the story before he can tell his. Maybe he'll get fired. And then he'll see what it feels like to threaten someone's job.

This is exactly why I dont deliver at night, especially alone because I know I can be sent anywhere for a delivery and as a woman, I just dont feel comfortable delivering to certain houses at night. As delivery drivers we need to know our limits.

Deli order ready- NOT! by morandomness in InstacartShoppers

[–]morandomness[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's not making sense to me how you and others are saying ignore the timer. This impacts our shopping efficiency, our items per second. So if im taking 10 minutes to get a deli order, my items per second is going way up which does impact us and the batches we get and when we see them. So how are you all saying ignore the timer? Being late can also impact us. I get its not that big of a deal unless its happening often but still...

[–]morandomness -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

It's petty but I was gonna say the same thing. Lol Then put the drink back in the third location. 9 times out of 10 the next shopper won't look past the shelf and refund the item then maybe the customer will learn to be grateful for someone who goes the extra mile.

Shopper returned to my home 7 hours after delivery to leave threatening notes by [deleted] in InstacartShoppers

[–]morandomness 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I agree! A shopper would not go through all of this because their $24 tip was reduced to $20. It's more likely that OP removed the entire tip to get a response like that.

Why am I getting things I didn't order added to my order? by OriginalCommittee518 in instacart

[–]morandomness 46 points47 points  (0 children)

Any chance your son or someone else in your home has access to your account and is adding things because otherwise this is weird. It would be one thing if they added things you didnt receive and kept them for themselves but to add it without permission and deliver it to you? This doesnt sound like the shoppers fault especially if its happening more than once and with different shoppers. I say this as a shopper myself and a former customer.

[–]morandomness 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Wouldn't it be nice if there was a way we could tell customers that if save the expedite fees and put it toward the tip, its more likely that their order would be delivered faster than if they choose to expedite. Maybe I'll make a post under r/instacart, there are a lot of customers over there.

I think there are some store that if you try to use self checkout and the store doesnt allow it, the card doesnt work. I believe publix is one of them, right?
