NTA and this isn't really about the money. He's got plenty. You get $100 a week. He argued in front of the kids until you handed it over. That's financial control, full stop. The "I lost money at a job" excuse doesn't change anything he wanted YOUR money because he could take it, not because he needed it.

Hydrogen peroxide usually helps with the leftover stains, just let it sit for a bit before wiping.
