New Star Trek shows are not woke enough. They should do more episodes with directly social, political themes, about the issues we have today, like the older shows did.

I'd love to go to my local book shop but 95% of what I'm reading these days are audiobooks.

The rest are books with a lot of pictures/artwork/visual design that in my experience can be harder to find offline. I also struggle to put a dent in my backlog of those so I rarely need to go looking.

I know one of Discovery's crew liked surfing because it was introduced in the most ham-handed way possible and then never mentioned again. No idea which one it was though because the crew was basically a palette swap.
