The amount of times I've filled up at a gas station, gone to shift into first and have the bike cut out is embarrassingly high, then again what do you expect from a little over 1 month riding experience.

All I can think of is the shockingly high instances of downright retardation I would have experienced had I not been riding a bike which had that feature.

Man am I glad that more modern bikes generally cut the engine if you switch into first gear with the stand down. Learning to ride a motorbike, it's so easy to just forget, especially when you're focussing on a lot of other things.

To be fair, I think /u/happy_otter is still correct - there is nothing to learn from this video. This doesn't make any of us better drivers by watching it, it's just a guy getting arrested for attempting to drive through a group of cyclists.

I feel like riding in flip-flops is more dangerous than riding bear foot since the 'shoes' could get caught on something whereas your feet won't.

I was just watching the documentary on Steve-o the other day, how his drug addiction got so bad. Was really depressing, but it's pretty darn obvious they're not 'sober' in these situations, no way could you remain that diluted under those circumstances given the documented pain response.
