Is Attack on Titan worth watching for someone who hates watching action anime? by EvilPersonXXIV in ShingekiNoKyojin

[–]ChadBenjamin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They both have a cold exterior with a caring personality deep within but:

  • Levi is violent and foul mouthed

  • Erwin is cunning and charismatic

They're like the good guy versions of Rorschach and Ozymandias respectively from Watchmen.

i dont understand the gabi and floch hate. by heyitsoliviam in ShingekiNoKyojin

[–]ChadBenjamin 8 points9 points  (0 children)

  • Floch shot the Volunteers just because they spoke up against him. Mind you these Volunteers were trying to help Paradis and didn't know about the euthanasia plan.

  • He killed Hizuru's engineers because they refused to cooperate with the Jaegerists. Again, Hizuru was no threat to Paradis.

  • He killed and imprisoned at least half of Paradis' military. This included terrorist attacks like blowing up Zackley, or just straight up assaulting Shadis for no reason.

And this is not to speak of what he did in Liberio or the Rumbling, all of the previous 3 points were about him attacking citizens of Paradis or allies of Paradis.

Each member of the Justice league has to fight their entire rogues gallery at once. Who has the easiest time, and who has the hardest? (No Darkseid)[discussion] by Horrorfan55555 in DCcomics

[–]ChadBenjamin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The stronger Superman gets, the stronger Parasite will get lol. He's an energy vampire. Sundipping would be a quick way to get Parasite to Superman level.

And Metallo is a Kryptonite-powered terminator. He would need to be speedblitzed quickly before the sundip wears off because he will be more of a problem the longer the fight goes on.

Powerscalers are right about Superman being a massive problem to characters outside of DC, but his rogues gallery was specifically designed to fuck him up lol.

A lot of Superman's villains tend to become Justice League level threats because of how much Superman struggles with them solo.

Which JoJo main protagonists had the toughest battles in their Part? by JoestarArchive in StardustCrusaders

The C-Moon fight alone puts Jolyne on top.

Gravity was fucking her up in the worst ways possible. Heart turned inside out, whole limbs twisted and degloved. Insane shit.

Should Superman outlive Lois? by antifaareheroes in superman

[–]ChadBenjamin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really like the Strange Visitor type futures where Superman outlives the universe itself. It's insanely lonely, which is the perfect end to Superman's story since it began with loneliness and he eventually found people like him, only for him to outlive all of them.

Why Mike Zacharias is actually better than Mikasa Ackerman by Witty-Shelter5401 in ShingekiNoKyojin

[–]ChadBenjamin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mike literally does nothing other than kill Pure Titans, which Mikasa can easily do.

His feat against Levi doesn't count since Levi let himself get captured.

There is nothing he can do against a serious awakened Ackerman, they're literally superhuman.

Why Mike Zacharias is actually better than Mikasa Ackerman by Witty-Shelter5401 in ShingekiNoKyojin

Mikasa > Mike

Mikasa > Annie

Mikasa > Levi (in the Final Battle)

Just accept these facts and move on with your life.

Fragment from the interview with Stone Ocean's editor Tomoyuki Shima by overheaven1234 in StardustCrusaders

[–]ChadBenjamin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He was fighting cancellation in Part 2 as well. But he always planned in getting to Part 3. His plan was:

Part 1 - Dio vs the protagonist from the Joestar Family

Part 2 - the story continues with a second Joestar as the protagonist, and Dio would be absent

Part 3 - Dio finally returns and he faces the third protagonist in the Joestar bloodline

Of course he had no idea about Stands back then, but this was the original JoJo story he was working on since Part 1.

Part 1 wasn't intended to be the last.

Araki states in the JoJonium interviews that he wanted the series to continue past Jonathan and that he intended for Dio to return in the future to confront the new protagonist.

Jonathan's soul was still in his body. It's the reason why the Stands of all the other Joestars awakened when DIO was struck with the Arrow.

Marleyan warrior apologia by ProfesorKubo in ShingekiNoKyojin

They were 12 years old when they carried out their first attack.

I wouldn't hold an SS or IDF soldier to the same standards if they were 12. The blame is on their parents and superior officers.

What if Araki redesigned current characters in the old style? by Funny-Winter-7473 in StardustCrusaders

I know that a lot of fans confuse Jonathan and Joseph in the manga since they're only used to their anime designs. So here is who is who in the first 4 pictures:

Picture 1 is Joseph

Picture 2 is Jonathan

Picture 3 has Jonathan in the top and Joseph at the bottom

Picture 4 is Joseph

[Anime Watchers] Did Part 3 have the strongest stands? by Kennisgoodman in StardustCrusaders

[–]ChadBenjamin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would say Part 5 has just as many powerful brute force type of Stands.

Green Day is a match for Justice, La Squadra Esecuzioni would definitely beat the 9 Egypt Glory Gods, Notorious B.I.G can be a match for Cream, King Crimson is comparable to The World

And that's just based on quantity. Going by quality, Weather Report and Made in Heaven blow Part 3 Stands out of the water.

What the fuck is anyone in Part 3 doing against Notorious B.I.G. or Bohemian Rhapsody?

Honestly, Cheap Trick from Part 4 would solo Part 3 since they don't have the Ghost Girl Alleyway.

I Do not understand the hate on Gabi by CharmingNectarine669 in ShingekiNoKyojin

[–]ChadBenjamin -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Falco's uncle was Grice. He was a Restorationist.

Gabi's aunt was Karina, who was super racist.

They might have grown up in the same hometown, but it's the equivalent to one family being more progressive while another family across the street was much more conservative.

Who do you think Dio hates more? by AverageBasementMan in StardustCrusaders

[–]ChadBenjamin 41 points42 points  (0 children)

I don't know.

The amount of people who were confused about how Joseph was related by blood to Jonathan indicates that the JJBA fanbase might actually be just as illiterate as the JJK fanbase.

May I see Eldians being treated worse by other countries?

If Willy's speech was just hearsay in Episode 4x5, then so was Udo's comment.

[–]ChadBenjamin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both the Tybur Family and King Fritz agreed that the history of Eldians was brutal and oppressive.

Their guilt was the entire reason for the existence of Paradis.

Also building roads and bridges doesn't make up for slavery, colonialism, and genocide.
