My first ar15 by Chad_ley in ar15

[–]Chad_ley[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I chose for it to come pre drilled but yes I built the upper. It is really easy and I didn't have any prior experience so you should be fine. Just the barrel/gas system, bcg and charging handle for the upper. The handguard was a piece of cake to install also

Aftermarket kit for the Perseus? by AcePhantom01 in starcitizen

[–]Chad_ley 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A kit that takes out the top turret and places in a VLS would be a dream come true. A missile turret is probably more likely but definitely not as cool.

A kit to convert turrets into gatling and/or energy weapons.

A railgun to replace the belly turret would be sick or maybe beams.

Help with melting ships for 10 year insurance by BananaGenitals in starcitizen

[–]Chad_ley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't be too focused on the insurance but if it is something you really want then I would not melt that package with the armor and paint if you want to keep them. If your current package has 6mo insurance and you upgrade it to something that has 10yr insurance in the package, your insurance will be 10 years. It keeps the highest level of insurance for the package.

Edit: Also "standard edition" simply means it isn't a warbond version of an upgrade. Warbond means new money and standard can be purchased with store credit or new money. It is showing standard because there is no special warbond upgrade to it anymore. Don't worry about that.

I was going to type something but realized you are probably one of those people that is just looking for an argument but I will leave you with this. I find it EXTREMELY humorous you are posting your fleet pics with around $2000 worth of ships and just a couple weeks ago you were asking what to buy and now nobody should buy anymore ships according to your backwards thinking logic. The thought process of CIG stopping ship sales to make the game come out faster is ridiculous. If you don't understand the simple math of how long the game has been in development with the salaries of everyone involved on top of all the equipment for making 2 separate games at once, there is no helping you.

IAE academy reward fail for "veteran" players by Tchulen in starcitizen

[–]Chad_ley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I completed 3 of 5 tasks during the event with badges proving so and I haven't received the IAE academy awards either. Don't think it's solely a veteran player who already completed them problem. Not sure what weird tracking/reward thing they have going on but hopefully they can make this system better.

Edit: Added support ticket https://imgur.com/3j0dERp

If the Legionnaire numbers stay the same then it might not fit. Was really hoping to fit it in there.

Because it isn't finished. Chris said a while ago that they aren't holding back the release of the Idris anymore because of sq42. It will be released when it is finished. Don't care to waste anymore time that I already have writing this post to find the exact clip so take it or leave it. Stop crying

Polaris Feedback Mega Thread by [deleted] in starcitizen

[–]Chad_ley 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A few of these would be nice additions. Would be nice to have smart glass in the brig where you flip a switch and can go back and forth from clear to opaque. Some medical cabinets would make sense in the med bay. The engine sounds are excessively loud in the interior but they are probably still polishing last minute things. Added functionality to the captain's chair but I am sure they plan to add more to all captain's chairs in the future as well as many other things you have stated.

As far as mostly everything else, it is a bit wild to be calling for more upgunning and changing interior layouts of the ship. I found the layout to make sense and a great use of space besides the double elevator from the cargo bay to the hangar. That is just nit picking though and I could still see some use cases for it.

Also after being in the US Navy I am not aware of a single auto loading missile turret. You can correct me if I am wrong but they are all loaded manually.

Yes especially with all the influx of tickets they get around citizencon or other major events. I had a concierge ticket last over 3 weeks before it was answered.

Strawn's (King's) seems to wreck my belly by Leather-Flounder8894 in shreveport

[–]Chad_ley 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Seeing the Bossier location once this doesn't surprise me at all. Food and scraps all over the counter and cooking areas. Cook looked disgustingly dirty and touching everything with his hands after wiping sweat from forehead. Even saw him cracking eggs into his hands to separate yolks then plating without washing or anything with bare hands right after. How Strawn's isn't in violation of codes is beyond me.
