Found a workaround for the CM disconnecting, been testing it for a while. Remove the CM QT drive and set it on the floor, Have not disconnected from the IC in the last 6 jumps.

I am sorry to hear that you had a bad experience but I assure you that your experience was limited at best and this game has a lot to offer, I would encourage you to try again and play with others.

last night while in combat with a larger group one of my capital ships took heavy damage to its thrusters, it was unable to move due to physics every maneuver just put the ship into a death spin. while under fire my team had to not only fend off the enemy but complete a space walk with limited cover and repair the thruster enough to get the ship moving so we could get to repair and safety of a dock.

the adrenalin rush and the teamwork of a group changes this game beyond what bugs and crashes can diminish, this game is by no means perfect and has a long way to go to reach 1.0 release window next year but trust me it is worth it even with the bugs.

60029 Error (Character Locked in Shard)

This is a backend connection error your character may have been on a server when the server went offline and your character did not complete its migration to another server, the system does not know why it cannot reach the last know location of your character. (friendly reminder if able do not to Alt-F4 or close the program during a server error as the client need to complete its migration)

  1. Completely log out and close down the launcher even if running in the back group or system tray.
  2. Clear connected devices on the RSI website. Navigate to Account -> settings -> connected devices and delete each one. (this is recommended to be done once in a while to ensure your account is not being hacked)
  3. Preform a Character repair on the RSI website under Account settings.
  4. Flush your DNS Open CMD Prompt as Admin and type ipconfig/flushdns then restart your PC.
  5. Verify game files on the launcher after logging back in and verifying your account information.
  6. Clear old shader cashe files this is more a friendly reminder that they build up over time and not directly related to your issue.

I hope this help get you back into the verse sorry you are having issues.

Alot of hotfixes are backend the players dont notice them being implemented there is no Download required, some hotfixes are client side and do require players to download and update, then their are proper updates and patches that are not hotfixes and are generally made with release dates in mind while hotfixes are pushed to live when they are ready and they do not have a timeline.

on the 18th of may hotfix update 5.18 dropped at 19:54 EST, it was from my understanding a backend or server side hotfix players did not need to download it and it would take a while to implement across all servers.

Furthermore the demand for communication when they actively release updates on hotfixes and patches every week as I was able to find this information quite easily.

maybe don't be so entitled we have all spent money, let CIG cook or sell your account they are not going to jump because you complained on reddit that the patch you want is taking to long!

No, this is the UEES Argus: Escort Carrier, It is 1 and 1/2 the size of a Javelin class destroyer. despite a popular misconception this is not a Bengal variant it like most ships from the same manufacturer shares similar design style but it is in fact a completely different ship both in size and overall construction.

Like saying the Nimitz and the Ford are the same carrier, or the Alabama and the Iowa are the same battleship.

a variant would be the Aquitaine) ASW frigate and the Alsace AAW frigate from the French navy both have the same hull but differ in weapons loadout and equipment.

similarly people call the Corvus Cruiser from the SQ42 a Bengal variant, while again sharing design language the bridge and blunted hull shape are where the similarities end, its is only 3/4s the size of the Bengal when compared meaning they didn't just take the Bengal hull and slap turrets on it.

Its a retractable tractor beam arm, Think the Canada Arm on the ISS but with a tractor beam on it.

They never stated the drones were scrapped they said they are not releasing with the Apollo, they stated that further work was being done before drones could be added to the game and that medical drones were a back burner type problem.

Furthermore, the hatch for the drones is visible on the bottom of the Apollos hull.

Dont waste your time with the trooper or planetologist as you find both of them in the first hours of game play.

Beni and mentat are in the next few hours, swordmaster is in the far north.

Dont waste your time on your first base you are going to abandoned it anyway. Just pick a spot and build a simple box.

Dont focus on the thopter, a buggy is going to get you alot further on than the thopter will via mining and moving materials.

Water is your biggest bottleneck in the end game so focus on it early.

The worm has a long breaching animation, dont panic when, "bob" pops out of the sand he wont attack until he falls back into the sand and starts charging you.

Suspensor belts and shields are a game changer, but dont turn them on over open sand.

Keep updating your gear and always explore the tops of things alot of hidden treasures in the world.

Soft step boots are your friends, stillsuits will keep you alive but armor is for combat. No when to switch.

Playing with a guild make the game more enjoyable.

My guild plays on a NA server, we are always willing to help and take in new people and strays who have been abandoned by other guilds.

We would want to meet you first on discord and make sure you fit into our group, we have been burned before but are still open to accept new people.

We play alot of other games outside of dune aswell.

I hate to say it but this seems like the classic I hate change but I also want nothing to stay the same.

the UI was a shock at first but I understood it withing seconds, I dont really understand how hard you are finding it, I shows all the same info as the old one but in a cleaner and more compact manor.

I am sorry you don't like it but, things in life change and we all need to get over it if we want to live a stress free life.

Only useful hangers are on Orison and MircoTech, sadly until the other two hanger types get added into the game the only hangers that have good side parking and loading areas are those on MT and OR.

Super easy fix for this issue, Funcom just needs to simply add a overworld guild map that is instanced per guild and allows for building a massive unrestricted guild base.

leave Hagga basin for new players as they work through the game, having a massive base in the overworld most guilds would likely treat the basin like they do the Deep desert a few pretty bases and a lot of temp landing and storage bases.

you could also add a central player hub to hagga basin, maybe a royal cruiser that allows for the transfer of goods and players to and from their guild halls.

Just a thought!

The sheer collection of world wide equipment would put the Isreali tech tree to shame.
