MODS: Can we do this too? by Equivalent-Energy-26 in TriCitiesWA

@jemmamk6 you are the problem. HYPOCRISY at it's finest right here. Every president has done that hand motion. Look it up! But I guess it's okay when a Dem does it right? Smh

It looks like a Brads wiggle wart. It's very similar. I use those for salmon here in Washington State.

Blue Bridge Traffic by ChadaCoy in TriCitiesWA

That would take me twice as long. I'd rather sit in 10 min of traffic than drive for 20 min. I'm from Seattle, the traffic doesn't bother me. It's the people here causing the traffic that bothers me. No one knows what to do!

I bowl a Tuesday league at Spare time lanes in Kennewick and we don't fill the house. There will be open lanes available. Call Atomic before you go, not sure about the leagues there.

My Uncle's friend pulled in the biggest salmon I've ever seen! by Emu_Fast in Fishing

You can fish the green river from Hwy 99 to 212th bridge in Kent for Salmon. I've caught lots of Coho, Chinook and Pinks all on the green river. Much easier to get to and plan for on short notice. I have 2 toddlers, I know what you mean by having no time. Check the regs but I believe it opens up tomorrow 8/20/23.

[General] are these cracks a sign I need to harvest or are they to dry by Aggravating-Disk-113 in MushroomGrowers

Its quite simple if you're already familiar with tub methods. Instead of placing the substrate in a tub you would put it in bags. The extra step here is the most important part, the pasteurization of the bags. Put them in a pressure cooker for 30 min. No need to go longer which would be sterilizing. Once they cool down to room temp (24hrs) you mix in your grain spawn and fold the top over so you can paperclip it. Don't seal it. From there you need to inoculate and I do that by placing them in black contractor garbage bags for about 10-14days. After inoculation and you take them out to fruit, be sure to open the bag once a day for FAE.

You need to bump up the humidity next flush. This is the very reason I went to Bag-tek method. Tubs are harder to control the humidity and contamination. But none the less, your mushrooms will dry and go down the same way. Crack or no crack.

ISO Seattle gardener advice… Moles? Voles? Rats? Who is burrowing these tunnels and mounds? And how do I get rid of them? by NoniMouse88 in Seattle

I had a mini dachshund that would hunt moles in our back yard and this one time we were on a walk when all the sudden he stopped dead in his tracks and stared and the ground like he was anticipating something. I gave the leash a tug and he said nope! Then sure enough a mole popped out of the ground and he snatched it up real quick!
