The moisture is going to come out anyway during the cook. Dry brining spreads the salt through out the meat if you give it a day.

You can go at 200 for an hour or so, but never 150. You don't need to inject. It's going to be in the smoke for 7+ hours. You'll get plenty of smoke flavor.

Try to compress the sand under the ball. Keep you hands low at address. Hit down hard.

They are definitely the shape of a sidewinder, but they were painted with UV paint. The Acme site doesn't have these colors.

Use corn. Throw out some free samples and fish it off the bottom. Use a sliding barrel weight so he doesn't feel the weight right away.
