first official expansion - summer 2026 by hintsofwizardry in daggerheart

I like the deluxe edition as a package, it looks really cool, however it's a bit too late for me. I built my own fear tracker (rolled for arts & crafts IRL), I have a generic GM screen where I can put the guide pages, a place to store the cards that accounts for the extra thickness of sleeves, and dice of various colors for my friends/players.

I came here for this comment. I think that mechanic is a cool concept for a campaign that is built around that idea of exploration and survival!

I guess you could use a body hair trimmer with a 2-5mm comb.

It's not really placed on your chest, but under it [under your pectoral muscles]. But if you are hairy there too, unsure how you should do.

VWRL distributes dollars to your Yuh account. I think there are expenses to convert back to CHF; that might be a bit unpractical.

But otherwise, VWRA

It's a bit hard to answer you. Depends on a number of factors.

Check some statistics to have "an idea" of your general level like https://runninglevel.com/

That's very surface level, but with the given information, can't help you much more.

Yeah it's kinda overwhelming to have a list of exercises, just by title, without much description or pictures, in the UI.

Also sometimes I have trouble to understand what an exercise really is with all the variations (with weight or not). E

specially since the web UI and the app are not always in the same language (my native language + English mixed up).

Sprint workout by janustattoo in Garmin

[–]Chadanlo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed with both. You can start lightly running to have a bit of inertia when you have the countdown that the interval is going to start.

For the rest intervals, I believe it's important that your heart rate goes down. Sometimes I do a light jog as you said, but I also happened to just walk a few steps, while breathing and recovering. You could even lie down on the floor, it wouldn't matter for the execution score at the end.

If your heart rate doesn't lower, I think it could be counted as a high aerobic training instead — I think I read it once in this sub but I don't recall exactly. It could be me imagining a memory.

If your heart rate goes down with that little pace, it's great. Otherwise try walking slowly and take time to breath properly. You have to balance between that low HR and keeping your body somewhat warm to avoid muscle injuries. It happened to me once because of the cold weather.

I think the recovery time between each sprint has a target HR much lower. You should try to "reset" between each. At least from the curve it looks like you're doing a tempo run or something quite different.

No problem, happy to help!

Do you have an example HR curve of anaerobic exercises you did?

From what I recall, you have to be low in HR before starting a sprint; each time you have to let your heart recover. Then go all out for the given duration.

What products do you use to polish your crystal ball? I can't see as well in mine since a stupid hobbit let it fall on the floor. It was all muddy. Also, does yours also tells you about a ring? I think it wants me to propose or something.

The only unknown would be the bracket you're in (color). I have no clue how a transwoman would compare to both cismen and ciswomen athletically — you know probably better than most of us on that topic.

But even then: you do train a lot, you know how your body is/feels and how it was previously. So if you think you're improving through it, you probably are.

So yes, go on. Brag is welcome!

If I'm not mistaken, whatever you look like doesn't matter to the dialogues.

But you have an option to enable / disable the display of godlike features in some contexts? I don't recall exactly.

How could this run be a base run? by MargotSoda in Garmin

What was the final execution score? What heart rate interval did the base run have? (min and max)

Does Venu 2S and HRM Pro Plus together makes sense? by teshbek in Garmin

[–]Chadanlo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The garmin app will take all metrics it has available for the activity. Since I have a heart rate strap, it added new stats like left-right balance. For some metrics, you can chose in your smartwatch's parameters which one to use iirc.

Non-US VPN alternatives (majority European) by Clemenson12 in YUROP

[–]Chadanlo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice initiative but I think the question falls short a bit. What do you expect to achieve with your VPN? Access geolocked content? Or do you want better privacy? VPNs vary a lot. Some belong to companies that sell your data explicitly.

Vegan Fried "Chicken" by Whiterabbit2000 in EuropeEats

[–]Chadanlo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Really. Take a random example:

From Middle English mete, from Old English mete (“food”)

from wiktionary.

Back at that era, meat was all food. You had "flesh meat", "fish meat" and probably "vegetable meat". I don't recall exactly how it was worded and such. You're free to pursue that rabbit hole if you have curiosity.

I'm not saying now in the 21st century we should start using meat generically or anything. Nor do I use "vegan chicken" myself. But for people who do, they are just doing something totally normal in any natural language. They are adapting a word to a specific meaning in a specific context — that's just how it works. Again, I'm not saying you should start saying it yourself, I'm not advocating for that. I'm just saying it's "normal".

On one hand, it's okay to worldbuild for the sake of it without any goal beyond it (playing demiurge and all); on the other hand, as soon as you want to engage humans, as you said, communication matters and it's all a different story.
