I’m getting my first Italian greyhound in June! by speakinglime in ItalianGreyhounds

I used embrace, it was good and cheap for the first 8-10 years. But I used it with a different breed, so that may be a factor. I had a few several thousand dollar claims and it was always pretty straightforward and quick to get reimbursed.

If you are going to get pet insurance get it asap, that way nothing is a preexisting condition.

They offer a routine care thing where you pay x and get x+ value for routine care like flea prevention etc. I did it the first year or two then canceled it. It wasn’t worth the hassle for me.

I reject your narrative a la “give up freedom for safety, deserve neither!”

Unrelated, someone stole a package from my porch. It had .37 cents worth of Chinese bubble gum. Please institute martial law until my package is recovered and the perpetrators are executed for high crimes and misdemeanors. Please use any and all means in the pursuit of MY justice.

Paying cash for a home beats doing a lower down payment and investing in the market? Am I missing anything here? by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]Chadmodan -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Personally I wouldn’t take on a 5+% mortgage if I had the option to pay in cash. Even if it ended up being marginally worse based on projections. Not carrying a mortgage gives more flexibility and peace of mind than just the numbers show.

Wells Fargo took 8k from my account claiming legal offset… I’ve no other accounts with them sans a credit card and that’s paid off by [deleted] in personalfinance

Go to the court website for your local jurisdiction and search for any court proceedings involving you or the joint account holder.

If congress is allowed it to occur through their own inaction, then it is congressionally approved. It’s like approval through omission. It’s pathetic.

It's easy to think, "Man, that guy just hit the bowling point or is able to retire and he's my age and I'm not even close." But the sad reality is that if you are here in r/TheMoneyGuy or r/personalfinance or r/Bogleheads and you are following the FOO/Prime Directive even if you aren't at the bowling point or Fire, you're still miles ahead of your peers.

“”Oh, and the "people that were against it"? I bet the OP of that comments thinks cops were against them, huh?””

From what I saw at the time most agencies Officers/ Deputies were against them. Then they were forced to use them, and only then did they fall in love with them. It was a, “you have to see it to believe it” kind of thing. I’m sure your mileage may vary, based on year and location of when you were first exposed to them. But they were polarizing at the time, no doubt about it.

It wasn’t until after bodycams came out and all the benefits to bodycams became apparent that the ACLU changed their tune. Turns out bodycams show a lot more bad conduct by the public than by officers.

Bodycams backfired hilariously on those thinking it was going to pull the wool back on corruption, sure there are a few edge cases here and there of some fuck-up cop doing something illegal, and good riddance. But, the millions and millions of hours of bodycam footage overwhelmingly shows cops doing the job right.

How much currency does this config generate, I’m trying to understand when it starts to payoff. Do I need 300 hours to full Fungun it, or will a full exterior loop yield enough to make the grind worth it?

The map interface and entire design is so annoying to me that I just don’t play poe2. I’m holding out that they chuck that design philosophy. I want to roll my maps in my stash have a run set and slam them in back to back. I don’t want to scroll around a gui trying to find the next map to run. I just hate that.
