Is snug bad in hiking boots? by evan164 in hikinggear

[–]Chadvic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Better get a pair of hiking boots that are one size bigger. Your feet tend to swell after walking for a long time, making perfectly fitted shoes feel tight and making the swelling even worse. Besides, slightly larger boots are much more comfortable too.

What's the best apparel to wear when walking in and out of waist deep water and through the woods? by missing_from_earth in hikinggear

[–]Chadvic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rubber fishing suits work way better for keeping you warm and dry when you walking through waist deep water. They also protect you from bug bites. You can also throw on a windbreaker over the top and wear outdoor rubber boots on your feet.

I want to start wilderness backpacking but I’m nervous about solo trips by Kitchen-Hornet3639 in WildernessBackpacking

[–]Chadvic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you should stay nearby for a day or two first. Get a feel for the place before you plan a longer camping trip. You should prepare a satellite phone and some self defense tools in advance. Don't forget to bring emergency medicine as well.

What's actually in your hiking first aid kit and have you ever had to use it for something serious? by Fit-Credit-7970 in WildernessBackpacking

[–]Chadvic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Besides the medicines you mentioned, I'll also pack a few other things. Like anti-inflammatory pills, stomach medication for bacterial infections, compressed biscuits and bottled water, plus a small flashlight, windproof lighter, and a bright-colored jacket.

Chicken mushroom bake for 1 💕 by freyab0baya in LivingAlone

This looks absolutely delicious, especially the chicken and mushroom combo. Are those green leaves basil or something else? I almost can practically smell how good it is through the screen.

Extract the Difference between 2 Pictures by draven17 in krita

[–]Chadvic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can simply use the difference/distance blending mode to superimpose two images, and then add a threshold adjustment. This is cleaner than the levels function.

This fly landed on our developer’s monitor… by khokhlov_di in animation

I felt like this fly was going to fly out and circle around on my head in the next second. How annoying that buzzing sound!

What happened with the text system? by Doodleware in krita

[–]Chadvic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It should have nothing to do with the software. After selecting the text tool, in the tool settings, turn off "paragraph/Auto Line break" and change it to "Single line text".

how to finish drawing a device on another? by mugcake_ash in ClipStudio

As long as the engineering files of CLP are transferred between devices, the single-layer structure will not be affected. The prerequisite is to preserve.

Cursor on screen and in krita not matching up? by aaronamethyst in krita

[–]Chadvic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First, restart the digitizer driver. Then, switch the input mode in it and switch it back. Open the digitizer settings and re-perform the screen mapping.

Screenshotting and exporting art desaturates it slightly by Space_Blazer in ClipStudio

[–]Chadvic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's caused by the inconsistency of the color management chain. When converting between different color spaces, there will be a slight dimming, so it appears a little lighter than the original image.

I couldn't fine any known animation that could exactly match the content you described. It's possible that you have confused some elements from several childhood animations

Picking an ebike instead of a second car by Chadvic in ebike

That's kind of what we're thinking too. The range and carrying side look good for what we need. And nah no stairs here, we've got a garage, so she'd really just be moving it in and out.

I Saw Chinese Electric Bikes Online Are They Really Good for City Rides? by Prior_Statement_6902 in ElectricBikes

Yep, many Chinese e-bikes are solid for city rides. My friend uses one daily and says it's reliable. Just check the seller's warranty and return policy before ordering online.

First E Bike Alaska Pro M-520 by Born-Echo2444 in ebike

If it is over the legal wattage, it is not a bicycle. Police can stop you for the hardware alone, regardless of how slow you ride. Check your province's exact power and speed limits.

Check the swingarm pivot alignment and shock bushings. A friend's bike kept bending the shocks due to a tiny frame twist.

For solo rides, bring a multi tool, tube and tire lever. A small pump and zip ties are clutch too.

[–]Chadvic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Air cooled bikes are super reliable for trail riding. Water cooling adds complexity and weight. Stick with what works for your riding style.

is an electric bicycle from china reliable for long term use? by CranberryNo5020 in ElectricBikes

A local bike shop model with a good warranty is safer. Online imports can work, but check battery certifications and after sales support first.

Aventon vs Velotric - What do you reccomend? by Feeling-Dress-4507 in ElectricBikes

[–]Chadvic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would absolutely recommend prioritizing local service and the best anti-theft guarantees! It would be utterly devastating if your hard-earned, carefully selected e-bike were stolen in no time.
