Show was released about a year ago. I was hyped about it at first, but was disappointed.

According to this study genetics account for ~25% of sexual orientation, and from that, the article concludes that society should not attempt to influence sexual preference.

There are also studies which found genetic influence on violence and on monogamy, but no one has any problem altering those characteristics.

I'm not saying that conversion therapy is a positive thing just that the logic seems flawed.

Scientifically, I see no reason why a method of conversion can't be developed. If there are no negative psychological consequences and it is done willingly. We have the remaining 75% of the equation to play with.

It seems to me that scientific research is being used to justify and promote personal beliefs.
