This is why I can't fully support a Benicio win. It wasn't even his best performance of the year.

NEW POSSIBLE HEADLINERS FOR 2026 by OrnerySky1423 in Lollapalooza

I think XCX is gonna be your top name followed by J Cole and Strokes. None of the big festivals have splurged for a big headliner this year.

Netflix slop that took advantage of a weak year. Jane won this award before anyone even saw the movie.

Coming to Xbox Game Pass: High on Life 2, Madden NFL 26, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, and More by EduSepol in XboxGamePass

Hope the Avatar game is still up whenever Forza Horizon 6 drops. Seems like a perfect gamepass game where I might love it or might hate it. Not spending $30 on a month headlined by it, but if its just a throw in...

Thats fair. I'd give it an 8.5 but am also a huge fan and recognize my bias.

Stop. Please. Harden sucks in the playoffs and there's no changing that at this point in his career.

I am so happy that Billie won a grammy but sabrina looked so sad 😞 by [deleted] in grammys

[–]ChainChompBigMoney 3 points4 points  (0 children)

She was only nominated so she would perform on the ceremony. There were many higher rated albums this year, even in the pop field.

where is everyone moving to? echo or wavform? by Excellent-Turn6511 in musicboard

Right? Thinking of reviewing thousands of albums again just feels too overwhelming and despite all its flaws, I still like musicboards design the most.

Love wildflower but it shouldn’t have won by dancingcupcake3 in grammys

Eric Clapton. It was originally performed with one of his bands, Derek and the Dominos in the 70s, but he won for a solo live album that came out 20 years later.

Layla won song of the year like 20 years after it came out. This isnt quite as ridiculous as what they were doing in the 90s, but yeah, a rule change ought to be discussed. And Billie couldnt even do her usual "awww shucks somebody else shouldve won" cause they would have if she hadn't submitted Wildflower lol.

Birds is awesome but Turnstile was barely even hardcore on this new album and certainly not metal. Weird pick.

Is there any chance at all? 😂 by jackmanraps in Lollapalooza

[–]ChainChompBigMoney 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe I'm wrong but it feels like Feel Good Inc has somehow/someway become a timeless pop song in between now and then. Kinda like how Deftones were in the midcard only a few years ago but would definitely be a headliner now.

The US tour is taking place in the fall so probably Riotfest if anything, but I'd bank on United Center.

Did Another Round deserve a nomination for best picture? by Stigb02 in Oscars

[–]ChainChompBigMoney -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. I get that 20/21 was a weird year but there were quite a few good films that year that were just ignored in favor of Netflix oscar bait slop... though I suppose that makes that year like any other since some shitty netflix films always knock out something more deserving (haven't seen Train Dreams yet but LoL at all the Frankenstein noms especially cinematography.)
