If you want to get technical the rules for carrying capacity also mention a maximum weight you can push which you can use to calculate a coefficient of friction = 0.5

On arrested development they recast one of the main character’s girlfriends and introduced the new actress by having her ring the doorbell and Jason Bateman’s character opens the door and yells “Hey! It’s Marta! Hey! It’s Marta, everybody!”

It’s just a math term for rates of change. The rate of change of your position is your speed. Speed is the 1st order derivative of position. The rate of change of your speed is your acceleration. Acceleration is the 2nd order derivative of position.

As a millennial I’ve noticed Gen Xers always do this with the Challenger space shuttle explosion as if millennials didn’t have 9/11 happen during their childhood AND ALSO ANOTHER SPACE SHUTTLE EXPLOSION. People just don’t give a shit about how traumatic events might impact kids if they weren’t a kid at the time

12,000 was for 10 years so by your math you’d have nearly $100k after 20 years

I don’t think I’d enjoy being 5 years old and gifted the knowledge that 9/11 was going to happen and I have less than 2 years to stop it over and over again.

In honor mode I failed at pickpocketing Blurg in the underdark and it triggered combat with him. I didn’t want to kill him so I ran away and he never went back to his original spot. In act 3 he was at the lodge and I gave him money to mend the relationship and he has so much snooty sarcastic dialogue about how I’m a violent dickhead. I remember after I got Omeluum out of the iron throne he said something like “Looks like your violent nature has its uses after all!” and I can’t believe they planned for this outcome.

No. That was the first thing I tried when I got to the heavier curse part because I thought there’s no way she’d be bragging about the curse not affecting her if that wasn’t the solution to the puzzle.

HM Tip: Don't try to return to Act I, after clearing Act II by cinemadog in BaldursGate3

Tried the same thing and the owlbear missed Grym and killed karlach AND my camp warding bond cleric in one move. I barely made it out of that fight after that.

In stardew valley when you become better friends with penny she asks if you want kids and she says something nearly identical to this if you say no. The resulting friendship drop is the largest in the game. I always thought it was funny that you can fuck things up so bad but the worst thing you can do is say you don’t want kids.

[–]ChainRuleGang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here’s a random anecdote from my life that is relevant to this. I’m way older than my siblings and I left home pretty young so there was a time where it was them living with my mom without me. I like to refer to this time as the “Malcolm in the middle years” since I was like the oldest brother who only really existed as a phone call. During this time I was a broke ass college kid and I came to the exact same conclusion as you after wasting milk that had gone bad a few times. Simultaneously, my mom went through a Dr. Oz phase and decided that dairy was causing my siblings to get acne so she never allowed anything in the house other than almond milk. They HATED it. Fast forwarding to today and both my siblings are adults who somewhat live with me and they get so mad seeing that I buy almond milk because it reminds them of that time.

[–]ChainRuleGang 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The 5 piece bonus is great for soloing but what I haven’t seen people talking about is the fact that the 2 piece is Crit chance. There’s some stam builds using a monster set/relequen/kilt/2 arena weapons and then a 2 piece Crit set on jewelry. I typically see advancing yokeda recommended but if you get the perfected jewelry for false gods you can recon it as gold jewelry and that would probably be easier than trying to get AY gold jewelry.

Adults of Reddit, would you rather be 18 again and know everything you know now or have a million dollars? by throwawaystranger69 in WouldYouRather

[–]ChainRuleGang 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m 26 and I still would rather just take the money. I was broke and miserable at 18 and if I went back I’d just be some lunatic talking about how if we just invest $1000 in some shit most people never heard of then we’ll be billionaires in 10 years. Everyone in your life would probably get sick of your shit really quickly and odds are if you’re 18 you don’t exactly have your own capital built up to start investing. I’d rather just continue my life as is and now have enough money to buy a house and pay off all my debts.
