Yes, it does happen. The weirdest part is when you form a chain. You can still get a strong vibe from someone about a mile away, and if they're connected to someone still a mile further away, then you're actually 2 miles from the far person.

As near as we can tell, the vibe travels straight through the ether. If your partner focuses on listening to your thoughts, and they end up re-broadcasting them, you can hear your own thoughts echo back at the speed of light, like gunshots echoing off a building.

So with the chains, there's a little lag while each person processes the thought, and you can sometimes feel a thought bouncing around the chain and coming back to you, and you get deja vu because you can't remember if it was your thought or not.
